My friends really wanted to try this restaurant. It has the same owner as one if our favorites, Vergina's, which is just down the street. When I read the reviews here, I was reluctant to go but I noticed the reviews are quite old.
I called before going and asked them if they had GF pasta sauces and was told yes. When we got there, we were presented with a menu that indicated what dishes were gluten free. Other than a couple of salads, there were not a lot of choices. Even there steaks were not GF.
When I asked our waiter if there were any other choices besides salad, he indicated they have a GF pasta and pointed out several sauces that I could have. Again, no mention of steaks being GF. One of my friends ordered a steak and asked if he could get the sauce on the side and was told yes. So I'm wondering why the waiter didn't mention that to me. I would have ordered that, which was twice the price.
Anyway, service was excellent as were the drinks. The food was good. I wound up getting a bowl of pasta with meat sauce and I split a lobster salad with my wife, which by the way, the salad was excellent and had a lot of lobster in it).
All in all, it was good but I should point out that we all agreed (3 couples) that Vergina's is much better.
