I really don't know about cross contamination as I ordered to go
So it's been a long time since I've been so offended. As a North Sider for 20 years, I welcomed this new establishment. I live here, I eat here, I go out here. The North Side is my home. Imagine my surprise when I tried to order through Postmates some beer. Having seen that wine and $100+ orders from the state store have now become legal, I assumed all was well. I called to check on my order, which it turns out it is illegal. Kudos to them for not doing it. BUT, the way in which I was treated for an honest mistake is unforgivable. The manager gruffly came on the phone, said it was illegal and they would never do that and hung up on me.
So after a while to digest, I assumed they might think that I was . kid trying to get something over. I called back. This was actually not better at all. After being called 'dear' many times (I am a middle aged women with a graduate degree and hardly this millennial's 'dear'), and explaining that I am a great supporter of North Side businesses and the growth of our community, I tried to get a reasonable explanation for my treatment. I said that I understood the legality of the issue, but felt that yelling and hanging up on the customer was maybe not the best way to conduct business in our neighborhood, I was told that he was busy with a dinner rush. He said that although he didn't want the same end to our conversation (which was 2 min)- ie hanging up, I should just let it go, and he hung up, again.
The food may be fine or not, but this is not a business for our community. He can take his misogynistic and rude attitude and go back to whatever short term profit scheme he is looking for. You don't hang up on long term residents and customers like that and expect to stay here.
There are so many better bars and restaurants on the North Side, Park House, Monterey Pub, Max's etc don't give this rude pig your money. Keep the North Side the North Side

Love the gfree bun here!! Every thing is pretty clearly marked!! Aurochs gf beer is my favorite!
Man that was good, cross contamination appears to be a real concern here. I do feel they did enough for me but at the same time it is all in the same area. Threadbare hopped cider is a huge plus.
Food prepared in a common area. Working on getting some gluten free beer. Had a great dry cider”Jacks” a little drier than “Austin’s” great burger and gluten free bun. Great atmosphere. Name is now Bier’s Pub.
"Gluten-free" items are prepared in the same area with the same utensils as gluten-containing foods. The staff was not knowledgable about the menu and what items were safe for a gluten-free diet. Did not eat here, left after found out food is prepared in same area.
The make all the GF items in the same area. They had no idea what they had that was or wasn't gluten free
This place is great! Gluten free items are very clearly marked. I got the burger and it was delicious! I usually don't like gluten free buns, but I liked this one. It also helps that the burgers are a good size and obviously made fresh in the restaurant.
Menu is labeled with GF options. As another reviewer said, the gf bun was amazing and the burgers are delicious!
Their regular menu has the GF options labelled. They have GF buns for their burgers or sandwiches, and their veggie burger is GF. There are plenty of GF sides to choose from, including fried potatoes.
GF menu clearly labeled with lots of choices and appetizers, gf buns
