Excellent hamburger! Gluten free buns available. Not the best bun I’ve had, but not the worst. Would recommend.

I went here this week on 6/14/22 and explained that I have celiac, and asked if they had measures in place to prevent cross contamination for burgers and fries. The burgers seem to be prepared in a way that keeps them separate from gluten and there were gluten free buns, but the person there said there is not a dedicated gluten free fryer. Other reviewers said there was one, though, so it could be that it just wasn’t working that day or something. I just ordered a burger, and it was good!

This used to be my go to place for the best GF burger in the DC area, but cross-contamination has become an issue over time. I've gotten sick multiple times after eating here so no longer trust them when it comes to cross-contamination. The food is great, but I feel like it's a roll of the dice re: cross-contamination. For reference, I've gotten GF burgers, GF grilled chicken sandwich, and fries. I always let them know I'm allergic. I suspect the GF burgers, sandwiches, and buns are being cooked on the same grill as gluten containing items. If they get stricter I'll be back.

Burger and fries are awesome! The gluten free bun is probably the best I’ve had! It doesn’t disintegrate or crumble like many other gf buns.

Staff was very knowledgeable about celiac and took it seriously, including walking over to the grill line to confirm my burger had to be handled differently. They have a GF bun but honestly I’d skip it. Loved the burger options and the fries were incredible. Most shakes are GF too but they didn’t hesitate bringing me the labels to read for myself when I asked. I think this just became my go-to burger place!!

I've been here several times & haven't been sick once (I have Celiac Disease). It's by far the best GF burger I've had, and the fries are safe as well.

Best burger in Arlington! Well, it was... they just switched to Udi’s buns due to availability and now it’s not worth getting the bun. Such a bummer. The old GF buns were amazing. Fries are still GF. You can get a salad bowl instead.
Yes
Would be an easy 5 star - but they changed the bread to Udi’s. A total swing and miss for the best burger around where you can also get great fries from a dedicated fryer. Like putting caviar on a ritz cracker.
Yes
By far one of the best burgers around, but not celiac safe. After talking with the cashier and consulting the manager on duty twice, our fries came out on a tray with the other regular burgers and not separate as requested so I could enjoy. They did quickly make a new clean batch after realizing their mistake. The gf bun was really good, but I believe there was some major cross contamination. Wouldn’t recommend for celiacs who are very sensitive.
No
It was amazing!! I would definitely eat here again. I am a celiac and I am extremely sensitive and I didn’t have a problem here!

Big Buns is one of our favorite places to eat in the area. They offer up beef & chicken burgers, regular & sweet potato fries, and shakes in unicorn blow ups. The staff is super friendly and helpful, but be sure to alert them to your dietary restrictions, and ask to see the allergy menu. They have a dedicated fryer, but their veggie burgers are not gluten free.
Yes
Best Burger in town! And GF Bun tastes yummy as well.
Incredible food. Dedicated fryers. Great customer service. Beet bowl was made not gluten free but they fixed immediately for me. A family fav. Will go again!
Yes
Solid gf choice for burger and fries.

This place is awesome. Not only was it the best burger and fries I have had in a long time, but they had gluten free buns and burger bowls for those who do not want the carbs. If you haven’t stopped in already, plan to make a visit.
they were super friendly and instantly knew what to do when I asked for gluten free. their fryers are separate and they have several sauce options that are gf.

Burger was big. it was overcooked, but still tasty. Fries in dedicated fryer. stffnet very knowledgeable about dedicated fryer. Overall, pretty darn tasty
First let me say, “I am Celiac, I can not eat gluten.” I do not get to eat fries if they not fried in a dedicated fryer. I do not get to eat buns when I order a burger most of the time. I don’t get choices of many condiments except for the traditional ketchup/mustard! I ordered the Curious Craiggers and the Parmesan truffle fries! Everything was gluten free-ordered with a GF bun. Words can not describe the perfection of flavor and texture! The Ahi tuna was perfectly seared! The fries were amazing! Everything was so good my hubby and I had to go back before we left town! My husband is not Celiac and said his burger was the best he’s had in a long time! He insisted on the Parmesan truffle fries the second night!

Delicious! Had a build-your-own burger & the bun held up (a lot of GF buns fall apart). They cleaned the shake mixer for us & the fries have a dedicated fryer. Made a point to mention to the manager how awesome it was that they had such great GF practices.
Yes
It was pretty tasty, and I didn't get sick. They were careful and noted a gluten "allergy" on my order. Separate fryer for fries (which were delicious), but I was afraid to try a milkshake since they have an Oreo flavor too. My regular cheeseburger was good, but nothing special for the price. I'll probably go back again and try one of their special burgers. Not exciting, but a nice place for when I want a burger and don't want to grill it myself.

Food was good and the staff was super friendly and helpful. They even cleaned the shake mixer before making my daughters shake. Nice to have a place to eat at that doesn't make you sick on vacation.
Amazing! GF bun option as well as quinoa or salad option for the burgers. Milkshakes and fries are GF as well, fried in a safe fryer. They've always taken great care of me here and the service is wonderful!
Yes
Outstanding. Nothing marked on the menu (always feel like this is something so simple for owner/management to do), but the kid taking my order knew what he was talking about. He flagged "GF" on my receipt.
One of the best burgers I've had and as others before me have said -- the bun was the best 👌🏻.
Ready, set, GO.
Yes
Amazing gluten free bun that was buttery, soft, and delicious. The burgers are incredible. Any combination that you order can be accommodated for GF. They have cider on tap!! And it's not Angry Orchard (not that I don't like Angry Orchard, it's just usually the only cider that you can get)!
Yes
Best burger I have ever had. Fries are delicious, and I recommend the queso cheese fries. GF bun is warm and soft. Probably best bun I have had too.
Yes
All of their sauces are gluten free. They are very knowledgeable !!
Our favorite burger place! So many delicious GF options, they really know what they're doing!
Awesome burger and sweet potato fries!! Definitely recommend!!
The only place in the DC metro that I've found so far with gluten-free buns!! Their buns are super yummy. It's nice to be able to eat a burger like a "normal" person sometimes. They have a dedicated fryer. my burger and truffle fries were awesome.
Yes
Buns are good- don't crumble like a lot of GF buns do...
Yes
These guys are good. Not only do their GF buns taste good, but they'll ask if you're ordering GF because of an allergy so they can change gloves. The cashier I had also knew which toppings and condiments were GF, major props.
