We stopped in for dinner last week and I had the GF Mushroom Cheesesteak without the mushrooms. I was a little skeptical about the cooking process since we could see the grill station from where we were sitting and it didn’t seem like they’d switched cooking utensils at any point when filling our order or others, but I must have missed something because I didn’t have any reaction afterward. It was amazing having a cheesesteak again—it’s been so long! The bread was pretty good and luckily smaller than the regular, gluten-filled sandwiches since it was plenty filling. We’ll definitely be back!
This is by far the greatest gluten-free bun I have ever eaten. It was so good, that after I began eating, I thought they had just given me a normal bun on accident (as so many restaurants have in the past). I went up to the staff asking if they had given me a normal bun instead of a GF one, and they took out the normal bun to show me it looks completely different from the one I was served. I was amazed. Eating that GF Philly cheesesteak sandwich was a spiritual experience.
This place is super good, my whole family loves it! If you call in your order and let them know you have a gluten allergy they are happy to clean the grill before they make your order! It's somewhat of a smaller operation so don't expect a dedicated grill or anything like that, but the food is great and the people are friendly!
Make sure the owner is there before you go. He does know how to prepare the sandwich so there isn't any cross contamination. It is a hit and miss if he isn't there.
