I have celiac and eat here all the time without any issues. The gf pizza and focaccia are delicious, and they have quite a few other gf options. It’s one of my favorite restaurants.

I called to see what I could find out about GF options. I was told that they do have GF pasta, but they cook it in the same pot as wheat pasta. Was also told "this is a pizza place, so there is flour all over the place ".

Had the gluten free ciabatta, the roasted sweet potatoes, roasted wings and a gluten free pizza followed my a salted caramel parfait for dessert. I’m not sure what to say about the prior review. I’m very gluten sensitive and my dining companion is celiac. We both enjoyed it and neither of us got sick.

I was reassured that it was indeed a gluten-free dish (I ordered a gluten-free pasta), but I got sick

Love that there is a GF pizza option in an airport (and with vegan cheese even) but the surcharge is really high and the crust totally bland. Not worth the price. Other GF options clearly marked on the menu.

After a little quizzing and back and forth between the waiter and back room they admitted the GF pasta is boiled in the same water as the wheat pasta. They did then agree (for us) to use fresh water for the GF. So... be careful!

Love Love Love this Place! Friendly knowledgeable Staff. The pizza had vegan and gluten free options. And the crust is both gluten free and Vegan. It was the pizza I have had since going Gluten Free! Everything is marked on the menu.

They prepare the gluten free pizza in the same spot as the regular pizza. There is flour everywhere and the use the same utensils for sauce and floured hands to grab the cheese. You can watch all of the cross contamination everywhere! The food tastes great though.

Good pizza! Knowledgeable about all the gluten free options, and they had a lot that were very well marked. Pasta, pizza, and appetizers!

I gave it 5 stars because it's probably the best gluten free pizza I've had at an airport. it was tasty but I would have preferred more cheese (see photo). I bought it to go but ended up eating there so I could charge my phone using the outlets at the table up front. I'd eat there again.

The last two times I have gone I have gotten a gluten free margarita pizza and both times an immediate stomach ache. I confirmed they were gluten free each time...I do not feel they know what gluten free is.

Love that Bigalora is at DTW (McNamera terminal) now. I had the chop salad and a GF pizza. Everything tasted great and no tummy aches!

This is a wood fired pizza place in the Detroit Airport. The gluten free pizza is very good. The crust thin but flavorful. The sauce was also very good. They also mark everything that can be made gluten free. There are other entree options as well as appetizers and desserts. Highly recommend!

I haven't tried their gluten free pizzas or pastas yet. When I went I got drinks and veggie appetizers which were very delicious! I look forward to going back!

I've had better experiences here than the other reviewers. I have found them to be very accommodating when I informed them I have celiac. I did have one waiter who went out of his way to ensure the pasta was made in a separate pot and water, without my needing to ask. They have generally been quite knowledgeable about what is and is not safe. That said, while I do have celiac, I don't have any symptoms if gluten gets in my food, so I can't be certain how strict they are. However, my anti-TTG antibodies have stayed consistently negative despite going to Bigalora about once a month, so I infer that there can't be too much cross-contamination going on.

If it's medically necessary to be GF, DO NOT eat here. While they have many GF items listed on the menu, they are not truly GF. Pasta boiled in same water, same preparation area and boards used for pizza. Brussel sprouts are flash fried. I went for happy hour and ordered their wood fired wings and glazed carrots and still had a reaction, even after grilling the server about preparation. If it's not medically necessary for you, by all means the food is good, but tread at your own risk.

This restaurant is marketed as having a gluten free menu and many gluten free items. The real fact is that the menu is marked but nothing is safe. The ingredients are not separated, the pasta is boiled in the same water, and there is lots of flour in the small kitchen. The rest of the group (not GF) loved their meals but it was a struggle for the celiac guest. The staff, who were very open and helpful, were able to accommodate by making pasta in a separate pot after a discussion, but this is not the place for people with any gluten issues.
