We came here while visiting Ashland because we had heard about the fried chicken, which was really good. However, I ordered a sandwich on gluten-free bread and it came on their rye bread. I ate it without thinking about it, but partway through realized it didn't seem like gluten-free bread. The server confirmed it was rye bread and sort of apologized. He took $2.40 off the cost of the sandwich, which seems insufficient for how sick I'm going to get. The fried chicken was amazing, but now I'm wondering how careful they are with that, since they don't seem to care about the sandwiches being gluten-free.
What an experience to arrive from out of town, look for somewhere I could eat safely, and find this lovely spot! My friend and I shared the Green Goddess salad, the popcorn chicken, and a side of mac and cheese. I haven’t eaten fried chicken or Mac and cheese at all restaurant in years! It was all delicious!
Stopped here last minute on a road trip. We weren’t super hungry so we just tried two of the salads and the baked Mac n cheese!!! Which was a super exciting find! Will def be back to try more things. Waitress was really nice and it was a very small and pleasant interior.
This is our favorite spot! Popcorn chicken and finger foods are our go-tos here, and the cocktails are always great!
Fantastic experience. Really great food. Our server was very knowledgeable and just about all of the menu is GF. I felt really safe eating here. I got the fried chicken sandwich. The bun was great, the chicken was really good, and the slaw was delicious! I will definitely be a repeat customer.
The chicken, both hush puppies and thigh and leg were super dry and over fried and the chicken thigh had a really odd taste. The mash and gravy were so so, the GF Mac and cheese was pretty good..very expensive for what we got and loud rap, hip hop music, not our thing. Pretty sure I didn’t get glutened. Not likely we will return. The girl at the counter was nice
I had the fried chicken and mac & cheese. The fried chicken was so juicy and had some amazing flavors in there. It felt weird having such a large range of choices, and I would have loved to go back and try more. Having celiac was no problem for this place, and the atmosphere was reminiscent of Cheers. Very kind and fast service.
All snacks, sides, and fried chicken were gluten free, per bottom of menu.
Ordered popcorn chicken and hush puppies, 2 things I never thought I'd eat with celiac. No reaction and they were all so good!
The pimentinto cheese dip for the hush puppies was amazing and I could have eaten a bucket of it.
Highly recommend and 99% of the menu is gluten free. No reactions 24 hrs later
Great food!! I ordered the fried chicken takeout and it was hot and delicious. Green goddess sauce and pecan butter were amazing. Service was also great.
This is a new restaurant in 2019. Southern food!. Their specialty is the fried chicken, which is gluten-free and truly amazing! In fact, everything on their menu except their bread/buns and some alcoholic drinks are gluten-free! including mac and cheese. The fryer is GF. If you are a gluten-free meat eater, this place will make you very happy! Tell all your friends, so we can keep it open. Signed, a local who is sometimes desperate for more gluten-free options.
