I love the cauliflower crust! They always ask me when I ask for that crust if I have an allergy and mark it on the paper so everyone changes gloves when they get to my pizza. I have never had any issues after eating here, but they did warn me about cross contamination also which I appreciate them being cautious and warning people. The pizza is also delicious!
I was an employee here and would not recommend for anyone sensitive to CC. They do have gluten free options but cross contamination is inevitable with no separate spaces and only one oven with flour particles coursing through the air. The pizza is banging but even with tedious precautions not even available to customers, I’d experience symptoms every time. With that said, amazing place if you’re less sensitive
We had a buld your own pizza...one of the best GF pizza we have had in Knoxvilleand the price is unbeatable. They will do a glove change and I watched to make sure how they handled things from that point on....I am not celiac but, have a high intolerance to gluten...
This has to be the worst establishment EVER! We have TRIED a several of times and have only actually eaten here ONCE. IF you can get an employee to look at you or speak anything other than ‘how many pizzas’ they truly lack any knowledge in gluten free. They seem pissed when you ask them to change their gloves before touching the paper that your pizza will be placed on. They whisper to each other and look at you like you’re crazy when you ask them to use a separate sauce container and spoon for your pizzas. Obviously, using the same spoon that has been rubbed all over gluten pizza wouldn’t be safe. We understand cross-contamination in the oven but honestly, how difficult is it to train your employees to be decent humans? We have not had issues at other stores but will NOT be back to this one. Good luck, management. You’ve got your work cut out.
We did not have a safe gluten free experience. Yes staff changed gloves but they used the same contaminated equipment and ingredients to prepare our GF pizza 🍕 . When we told them they didn't understand the cross contamination part. Needless to say my husband with Celiac was sick after that and it's a no for him after that experience.
I told the staff behind the counter I have a gluten allergy/celiac.. they did change their gloves and put my gluten free pizza on a red plate but when going down the line i had asked the guy if he could get cheese from the back that hasn’t been touched yet and he had no clue what i was saying and ended up just giving me the vegan cheese that was out. I explained I will get sick if they’re touching the toppings with their gloves that touch regular pizza but then they put my pizza straight on the oven with all the others and used the same spatula which obviously contaminated my pizza. They did say they would use a clean pizza cutter after I asked them and reminded them but usually they’ll bake the pizza on the tray in the oven so it’s not in direct contact. I don’t think i’ll be going to a blaze pizza again. If you have celiac or gluten allergy I would try somewhere safer/cleaner with a better understanding
Staff was exceedingly accommodating. Everyone involved in prep of our food changed gloves, did as we asked or got new , cleaned equipment. My husband has other allergies in addition to celiac disease and they even made him a fresh batch of sauce when it appeared the sauce he wanted could be contaminated. GF pizza was even cooked on a separate tray so it doesn’t touch the bottom of the shared oven. No one made us feel like we were asking too much or just being picky. Highly recommend!
They washed hands so there was no cross contamination. Very knowledgeable about products to avoid and eat.
There were many gf options and the workers are very helpful.
Im sensitive to gluten and I've gone here a few times. As soon as you ask for gluten free they ask if its in alerget and make sure its marked and noted on the paper for the pizza. The people adding toppings change out their gloves and ask if new containers of ingredients are needed. This is one of the only pizza places I know I can safely go to.
We go here a lot, because it’s one of the best places we’ve found that is Super careful about no cross contamination!!
My daughter has Celiac, and because we go there so often, a lot of the people who work there know us and will change their gloves when they see us coming in. They have special mats for the gluten free crusts, as well as a separate sauce container and ladle. And they have a separate pizza cutter that they keep in a separate bin as well.
It’s also one of my daughter’s favorite gluten free pizza crusts! So win, win, win!!! :0)
Asked about allergy protocols and was impressed. Separate gloves, used ingredients from under counter, knew meatballs were not GF due to breadcrumbs. Understand the amount of flour around would make others sick, but we don't have a fully GF kitchen at home either.. Really yummy and would recommend again!
Not a good experience. After I told them I have a severe allergy, I watched them place my GF crust on a wooden holder covered in flour. When I asked them to redo it, one of the employees was annoyed. You need to be very careful here. Make sure you are watching them handle your pizza in the oven. They need to use separate tools to cut the pizza too. I had an upset stomach after the meal, but I’m not sure if it was a contamination.
