I have eaten here several times over the years. There are fewer and fewer things that I have been able to safely eat. For example, the fruit crisps are labeled gluten-free but after having a reaction, I checked with the owner and he said the oats are not certified gluten-free but he didn’t see a problem with that. I was not able to clarify the issue for him. My daughter, who also has Celiac, ordered the enchiladas just last night and had a serious gluten reaction, as did I, just taking one bite. The enchiladas are labeled gluten-free. The server reassured us about what was gluten-free, there is a dedicated gluten-free fryer so the french fries are safe. but please be very careful if you eat here. (It is a popular place with many people and I often end up going here in a group but I probably will not order food there from now on)
We had a fabulous experience. I have Celiac and they knew how to handle the GF request. There is a separate grill space and the fries are GF. There was no reaction at all. The food was very good, well seasoned, delicious and really large portions. We should have shared, but now have another lunch. Highly recommended.
I had brunch here and it was great! Everything tasted delicious and there were plenty of gf options. Later I went back for coffee and a pastry. I asked if the crumble bars were gf (they weren’t labeled behind the counter) and the lady behind the counter said yes. Luckily I double checked on their website before eating it … and nope not gf. So plenty of options but double check if something isn’t labeled
I tell them I need gf medically, and I've always had a great experience here. The food is interesting and healthy and delicious. They have an absolutely wonderful selection of gf desserts. I had a fruit crisp the last time I was there, and the oats in the topping passed my body's gf sensors fine - safe oats are a good indication that the kitchen is paying attention and is careful.
