Great food, careful kitchen, delicious GF option in Roanoke.

Ive been to bloom a few times and all experiences have been fantastic.
Shared fryer so no fried items are celiac safe. The staff is knowledgeable and always willing to check with the kitchen when ordering.
I found that there are a wide variety of options for dinner service and the staff have been willing to adjust things as needed (vegetables in place of crackers, etc.) Brunch I was really only able to have the salad but it was delicious. I love that the menu changes seasonally.
Overall, bloom is great for GF and other allergies.

Excellent experience. They really seem to understand GF, and the food was great. Small tapas style dining with a great atmosphere.

Had an amazing experience at Bloom New Year’s Eve. My husband called in our reservations and asked if they were familiar with Celiac - they were and they impressed with with their attention to cross contamination. Despite having a limited menu for NYE, they went out of their way to handle the gluten issue AND make it vegetarian. While everybody in my party loved their meals, I ended up sharing a bit of my GF/veg food so everyone could experience it. They were blown away. I ate WAY too much and enjoyed every second of it. ❤ I was just diagnosed in November and was super nervous about eating out for the first time. The staff at Bloom really set my mind at ease. And OMG, the food was fabulous.

The flavors are amazing! The wait staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful on ordering. As soon as I asked about gluten free options, they asked whether I was celiac or had an allergy so needed to avoid cross-contamination. They then indicated which of the menu items would be safe and because they are tapas style we ordered one of each gf item. The starting salad with fresh sheep cheese was a perfect start. My favorite items were the steak with charred sunchoke (without the toasted onion because of gluten) and the smoke in chimneys trout.

Bloom is an exceptional dining experience. They are knowledgeable in gluten free and the staff know the menu and can tell you what you can and can't have easily. They do require a reservation but it's well worth it.

My boyfriend called to make the reservation and checked then whether they had GF options, to which they replied that they did.
Upon our arrival, I asked our server which items would be safe for a gluten allergy and she immediately asked if it was Celiac. She went over each menu option for me and let me know what ingredients were safe, what weren’t, and what could be cross contaminated. For dessert she talked to me about how to modify the one I was interested in to make it safe. It was such a pleasant experience and made me feel at ease about eating out.
