Using the Bob Evans menu in conjunction with speaking with the waitress, I ordered eggs, bacon and hash browns. She assured me the eggs and bacon are cooked separately from any breaded products or other gluten containing items. Bacon is cooked in the oven. I ate there 10 hours ago and have had no issues.
Visited on a busy Sunday morning and felt safe. Food was good. Would eat here again.
I had the gf menu in hand, but it doesn’t include new items from their recently updated menu, so I looked up current allergen info on their website and ordered from there. I had hot chocolate (so good!) and the Three Meat Breakfast Bowl (listed as ‘Protein Bowl: 3 Meat’ in online allergen table). I asked for my order to be marked as allergy and when I said gluten server knew that I couldn’t have bread and offered mine to someone else at the table. At my request, she brought my order out separately.
I didn’t have a good experience. Yes, they have a gluten-free menu and they try their best but I had a server who got mixed up with “dedicated fryer” which she said they had and they do not. She said part of the grill is gluten free, but I am not so sure.
I got an omelette with fruit and she marked it as an allergy. The omelette was good, but I started to feel sick pretty quickly afterward.
Be very careful if you eat here. Ask a lot of questions and know that cross contamination may happen more than they would like.
