Very basic but I highly appreciate they do have a dedicated gluten free menu.

Went for brunch while in town visiting family, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Gluten free menu is available if you ask, and they assured us that they have separate prep practices including dedicated dishes and a designated staff member to prepare your food to ensure they aren’t in contact with gluten foods. In our case this staff member was the one to bring the gluten free dishes to the table separate from the rest of the food brought by our waitress. They said it was company policy and that they could even prepare the foods safely for carry out if you call ahead and inform them you need to be gluten free. Most of the offerings are eggs, breakfast meats, and potatoes as far as their morning/brunch offerings are concerned. Our three Celiac kiddos happily ate their bacon, eggs, and fruit and had no adverse reactions at all. Highly recommend.
I enjoy eating here with my boyfriend somewhat regularly. If I'm careful about what I eat, I don't get sick, but I have gotten low level glutened here several times. So now I only eat the inside of a baked potato, no toppings, or sunny side up eggs, just the yolks and I dip potato chips which I bring in them. It's not necessarily ideal, but it works for me. Also, I sometimes order my drink in a to go cup, I generally get hot tea- they serve Bigelow, which is safe.
Yes good GF MENU choices. Just needs to add GF Breads and we'll be all set.
I used my own phone to look up safe options. Was with a large party and was the easiest to figure it out. Staff was helpful and food was great. Wish they would expand the menu to include GF toast/pancakes.
You can get a burger without a bun or mashed potatoes without gravy. Servers are not educated on allergies/intolerances and don't seem to care. I ordered soup and the bowl was touching toast from a friends plate.
They do have a gluten free menu. When I ordered from the gluten free menu my order of roast turkey was served with gravy on it. I sent it back and asked for another order without gravy. When this order came it looked good. When cutting a bite from the top slice of turkey the slice slipped off the slice underneath and that middle slice appeared to have gravy on it -- as if it was placed on my plate using tongs that had gravy on them. When showing this to the manager, he did offer to comp the entree for me, but he also said it did not look like gravy to him, but like the glaze that is on the turkey breast. However, none of the edges of the slices had anything like this on them. I got the impression the manager and all the staff had absolutely NO training on safe practices with regard to allergens or gluten.
I ate there for breakfast one morning and I ordered off the gluten free menu. I told the waitress my specific needs and she said she understood and shed key the kitchen staff know. Well I got cross contamination and not happy. That was the first time going there and the last time too.
We've eaten here a few times now while traveling & im officially done. Time & time again, the staff proves that they are not properly trained to handle orders off the gluten free menu. Had the pleasure of being sick all day yesterday after eating there. What a fun drive back to michigan that was :(
We don't usually go there but their gluten free food is very impressive. They have a special gluten free menu nicely printed out for you. And I still remember he first time we were there, the waiter actually came with gloves on both hands, and the food had a gluten free tag on it:)
Standard Diner. No gluten free bread items, or specialty items, so the same as all standard diners: eggs, meat, fish and you must know how to your food without products that have gluten or wheat. Would not consider this a "gluten free" friendly diner.
