Very basic but I highly appreciate they do have a dedicated gluten free menu.

Good service, our server Mary told us her granddaughter has celiac, showing she knew some things and could understand my needs. The food was good, I didn’t get sick after. I ordered the Rise and Shine with bacon, scrambled eggs, and home fries. I tested the food with a NIMA (This product tests for gluten free food) and it came back saying “gluten free.” I would recommend this Bob Evans to everyone, especially people with celiac.
I’ve been twice with good results both times. Ask for the gluten-free menu. It has several traditional breakfast choices without the bread side (one waitress let someone else at the table take my bread side), plus some lunch, dinner, and dessert choices, including lettuce wrapped burgers. On my first visit I told the waitress I was ordering from the GF menu and watched her write “GF” on the order pad in giant letters, underlined three times. Both times they brought out breads for the entire table way before the rest of the food, so they were never even on the same tray as my food. All in all great service and experience.
Unfortunately, not safe for celiac. Called ahead, and they do not have any dedicated work space, and do not clean cooking surfaces before prepping gluten free foods. If you are NCGS, they do have options available for you, though.
they had a gluten free menu, but it didn't have very many items, no descriptions of the items, and no prices, so you still needed a regular menu to figure out what you're getting. but at least they had one! and I verified with the waitress that all non-gluten items, like the meat and eggs, are cooked separately from items that contain gluten like the pancakes and biscuits. overall satisfied and didn't get glutened.
The food is great. I have severe Celiac and they were able to accommodate. Although there weren’t a lot of options on the GF menu, I was able to create a delicious omelet. The staff was well informed and knew what they were doing.
Another gf said get eggs but I found out from server that eggs are cooked on the grill that they make grilled cheeses on. Had to send back my burger a couple of times- first time fries (cooked in shared fryer) was touching my burger (no gf buns :( and then again because server didn’t know if cheese was gluten free. This after finding out the egg allergy earlier still had allergic reaction due to the grilled cheese being cooked on same surface as eggs. Personally, I was afraid I was going to get sick. Luckily I didn’t. Just got burger and bacon w side salad - no dressing. Be careful. This was not the McKnight location but I wanted people to see it since the previous poster said to get the eggs... don’t get the eggs.
They do have a separate menu for gluten free but it has a notice to celiacs that there may be cross contamination. The menu just lists titles of dishes and then you have to look up what they are on the regular menu. Breakfast was okay at best. The server didn’t seem particularly concerned about my dietary restrictions. Didn’t feel super great afterwards.
They have a variety of gluten free breakfast options - all omelettes (except for the goat cheese with the goat cheese and veggie) and breakfast meats, among others. I've never had anyone seem annoyed by my order, and when they put it in, it alerts the cooks to try to avoid cross contamination. We sat at the bar today when it was really busy, and I heard the cook ask the server lots of questions about my order because he wanted to ensure it was safely made. Voted 4 because not sure if there's dedicated kitchen space.
Our server seemed attuned to GF needs but, in spite of my ordering from the GF menu, I had a reaction. Not sure if it was the sausage or perhaps cross contamination from my companion’s pancakes.
Manager John was great when I called about gluten free options and kitchen procedures. When we arrived service was excellent with server Karen being very knowledgeable about allergens. Chef also assisted with best options. I am gluten free and my child is gluten and dairy free. Both of us loved our meals and were able to safely eat and were ABLE TO ENJOY our meals. Highly recommend this restaurant.
I often eat breakfast at this location and never had an issue. I just get your standard eggs, bacon, home fries. They do not have GF buns or toast.
When we walked in the hostess seemed annoyed when I asked for a gluten free menu. My husband and I both ordered wild fire chicken salads. He ordered his regular without tomatoes. I ordered mine gluten free and to be safe asked for them to hold the tortilla chips since our order waitress was new. The waitress right away noticed mine had tortilla chips so she sent that back before it came to our table. Once she brought my husbands we noticed his had tomatoes and no tortilla chips so we also sent his back. In less than 2 minutes she returned with the salads and told us they just made new bases for the salads. We were skeptical because of how long it had originally taken to make our salads but she reassured us that they made new salads. Within minutes after leaving I could start to feel a reaction in my throat and we think they simply swapped the chicken on the plates.
Went for brunch while in town visiting family, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Gluten free menu is available if you ask, and they assured us that they have separate prep practices including dedicated dishes and a designated staff member to prepare your food to ensure they aren’t in contact with gluten foods. In our case this staff member was the one to bring the gluten free dishes to the table separate from the rest of the food brought by our waitress. They said it was company policy and that they could even prepare the foods safely for carry out if you call ahead and inform them you need to be gluten free. Most of the offerings are eggs, breakfast meats, and potatoes as far as their morning/brunch offerings are concerned. Our three Celiac kiddos happily ate their bacon, eggs, and fruit and had no adverse reactions at all. Highly recommend.
I enjoy eating here with my boyfriend somewhat regularly. If I'm careful about what I eat, I don't get sick, but I have gotten low level glutened here several times. So now I only eat the inside of a baked potato, no toppings, or sunny side up eggs, just the yolks and I dip potato chips which I bring in them. It's not necessarily ideal, but it works for me. Also, I sometimes order my drink in a to go cup, I generally get hot tea- they serve Bigelow, which is safe.
Dined on 25 August 2017 for dinner. Had pancakes and hash browns -- no issues. Pleasantly surprised that a chain restaurant like this had a gluten-free menu. Server was knowledgeable.
I went there to just get a breakfast one morning. They showed me the "gluten free " menu but said they could not promise the food would not be cross contaminated. I will not be going back simply because of their abrasive attitude.
I just called and talked to manager at the one in Bloomington IN. He wasn't for sure what was on the menu. He said I could have bacon and eggs. Not what I call a gluten free menu and the manager should know the menu!
Have a great menu. Server and kitchen staff were very attentive to us. They even clean the grill before cooking our food to ensure no cross contamination. Brought my son and I fruit since we couldn't have biscuits. Highly recommend them!!
Yes good GF MENU choices. Just needs to add GF Breads and we'll be all set.
my gf cost as much as my husbands Chicken and Waffles. All I had was a hamburger patty with a little cheese, two strips of bacon folded over and a fruit cup. very disappointed. plus the staff has no clue about gluten free
Even though it has a gluten free menu, my son had a reaction. Wondering if they use the same utensils in the kitchen for both gluten and gluten free foods. Not going there ever again.
