I was excited to try this place, but the burgers and buns are cooked on the same flat top. The cashier said that they place the burgers in a specific spot, but I am very sensitive to cross contamination so I did not end up eating here.
If you are not sensitive to cross contamination, it could be ok, but I am disappointed that it was not a dedicated prep space.
No problems with getting sick, I got a burger bowl and the duck fat fries. Love all the sauces and that they’re marked. I told the cashier that I had a gluten allergy and asked what the protocol was and she said they clean the grill and change gloves, this is a favorite of mine!
MJ at the counter was very knowledgeable and super helpful about how their food was prepared. I ordered a classic burger and purple fries with out sauce (I put my own sauce from the dispensers on it when I got my order) The buger was excellent and gluten free bun was the best I’ve tasted! Everything was delicious, I will definitely be back when I’m in the area.
My husband, toddler and myself all ate here for lunch. All of us have Gluten allergies. Ordered the Bison Burger x2 on GF buns, 1 done Original style and the other with The Heat, both wish purple frys and our toddler got an order of curly Gold frys.
We love this place!!! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was fun and the staff was not only knowledgeable about GF options and cross contamination but they were also SUPER friendly and upbeat.
The GF buns were not just good for being GF, they were just good in general. Didnt taste like GF buns. The burgers and frys were all amazing.
All their sauces were gluten free and I loved all the sauce options. Tons to choose from.
Will be back FOR SURE!! Great choice!
Come here all the time. Gluten free buns and dedicated fryer.
Fabulous!!! It has been so long since I've had a cheeseburger and fries. I had the Laura potatoes and would recommend. I followed the suggestion and ordered the Brussel Sprouts and was not disappointed. The sauce to dip them in was out of this world. I will make this a must on my next trip to Boise.
Great fries, but the hamburgers are cooked on the same surface as regular burger buns. And they are not forthcoming with this information. When I first asked they assured me that the GF buns are cooked on a separate surface. But it’s the burger patties that are glutened, unfortunately.
The last time the guy cooked my grilled cheese (made on an inside out GF hamburger bun) on a piece of foil. We went tonight through and they didn’t offer to do that (or anything besides change gloves). We just decided to stick with Red Robin so we left.
They used to have a separate bun toaster years & years ago, but decided to just warm the buns on the grill. Too bad.
A person with Celiac should probably stick to the fries...as far as I know the friers are gluten free and only fries are put in them. As for the hamburgers, they are indeed delicious enough to be tempting but the safety and possibility of cross-contamination is highly varied across location and depends on the personality and training of the specific worker that day who helps you. Also I don't go to any of the locations at all anymore because of an extremely unpleasant run-in I had with Massar, the manager of the meridian store and the owner's brother. Ladies beware of that guy.
