I was told by the manager that they could not serve me a safe gluten free meal for celiac. Although chips are made in one fryer each day the fryers are rotated. He said that they could serve gf but cross contact was a possibility. I really appreciated his honesty.

When we arrived we spoke to management about Celiac precautions as well as vegan options. Corn chips and tortillas were an option and were prepared separate from contaminants. The food is outstanding!

They use corn tortillas for most of their tacos and the food is very good on its own.

Used to eat here often and my husband still does. Very limited for celiac. Took my daughter last week and we didn't get sick but we wouldn't go back. Too few options for us.

Was told the enchiladas and chips were gluten free. Got very sick

We went based on other reviews here, but I did not find the staff knowledgable at all. They were very nice, but there wasn't much on the menu besides the enchiladas.

This place does NOT cater to gluten free. It's the usual, "you can have the enchiladas with no sauce, you can only have the chicken, you can't eat the chips, the corn tortillas were made in a facility that makes wheat but we don't know if there is cross-contamination at the factory, etc" - when they get with the 21st century maybe we will be back.

Great food and wait staff is very knowledge about what is gluten free. Highly recommend chicken enchiladas but order without side of rice.

very knowledgeable staff, seen on my receipt that they entered I had a gluten allergy as a note to the chef, so I thought that was very comforting.

No gluten-free menu yet, but the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. They double checked that the chips don't have wheat flour on them, and the chef made some excellent recommendations. No gf beers or ciders, but the margarita mix is fine.

Me and my family love the border cafe! We have gone there many times and I have never gotten sick! They have lots of options, and are always super helpful! I would definitely recommend!

No gluten free menu and no items notated as gluten free. I have had the chicken fajitas with corn tortillas (substitute - they automatically serve flour tortillas), white rice and black beans. Also had the blackened salmon with white rice and black beans. Jose/house rice and steak fajitas (steak marinade) are not GF safe.

They are always good here. The staff is friendly and understands. They often consult the chef if not certain about an ingredient. My sister and I haven't had any issues here.

Daughter (6) has celiac. We safely eat here on a regular basis and she has never been glutened. They do not have many GF items but she does love the chicken fajitas with corn tortillas with the black beans and white rice. She also love the chips and salsa.
