We absolutely loved everything about this place. The food was wonderful and they had so many gluten free options. The staff was wonderful and helpful as well. I would absolutely go back and recommend this to anyone. I had escargot, scallops and leaks, bread, and salmon!
I ate here for lunch one day on my trip, and while the food was very very good, the options were extremely limited. I ended up ordering steak and fries after asking if the roasted chicken was gluten free (having read the earlier reviews) and being told no. I’m not sure if they changed the recipe since the other reviews, but the waiters were very nice and said it was not possible to make the chicken gluten free. They told me the steak without the sauce was GF, so that’s what I went with. I also asked about the fries and was told they were GF as well. The steak was fantastic, and they brought me a GF bun as well - also delicious.
They knew how to handle gluten-free food. I even got delicious bread. I had the roasted chicken and it was really delicious. The waiter that served us seemed at first a in a lack of knowledge about what was gluten-free and not. But he was really helpful and went directly to the kitchen to ask the chef. I felt safe eating here and would recommend if you want to have some authentic French food.
We ate here on arrival day when everyone was tired. The concierge in our hotel called and they confirmed they could accommodate our gf kiddo. GF celiac kid had roasted chicken and French fries (waiter confirmed fryer only did fries) and it was delicious! Waiter also brought gf bread as well as the normal basket of baguette (separate) which thrilled my kiddo (picture below). Others had salmon, seared tuna and prawns (all could have been adapted gf if needed). It was a delicious, full meal for all of us, celiac or not, and service was friendly. Highly recommend.
Terrible experience at this nice brasserie near the Louvre. I went to the bar and the dinner started off nice. I ordered a steak frittes. Waiter seemed to understand gluten free and I asked if the fries were cooked separate. He answered yes. Food was great. He asked if I wanted dessert so I asked about gluten free options. He began to smirk and asked another waiter about GF. My waiter smugly/arrogantly laughed with another 2 waiters saying “Gluten free” multiple times while speaking in French and then came back to me. Clearly making fun of my order. He told me I could order crème brûlée. I have never felt so uncomfortable ordering gluten free. I declined the dessert and left. I then questioned their fries and sure enough I had symptoms for the next few days. I would be very careful ordering here and if it were me I would never go here … shameful service
