My gf said this is the best veggie sandwich she’s ever had

We called ahead and we were told there would be gluten free items and bread. When we got here, they were out of gluten free bread and none of their other items were gluten free including their salad dressings which is usually my fall back.

If being gluten free is a requirement and not a choice, then don't go to Bread Winners. I called ahead and was told that I could find several gf options, so I planned a lunch with friends. The hostess and waitress confirmed that ordering gf wouldn't be a problem. When I asked the waitress specific questions regarding menu options, she had no idea what was/wasn't gf. The manager briefly came over to answer one question and left. I placed an order but asked the waitress to confirm that it would be gluten free. At that point the chef came to the table and explained that everything is prepared using shared cooking surfaces. They might offer gf bread, but everything they prepare will likely have gluten leaving me with no options other than fruit. My friends graciously offered to find another lunch spot, and we left.

There is very little gluten free entrees but all salads can be made without croutons, and you can ask for your sandwich to be on the gluten free bread they offer. There is no dedicated area for celiacs. Still, really great staff and a great family owned business!
