Server was unsure what was celiac safe or not. Really nice guy but just reiterated that the kitchen just wasn’t safe for celiacs.
I appreciated the transparency but was bummed not to be able to eat.
FYI — served told me the house hot sauce was NOT gluten free and was unsure about ketchup

I just ordered eggs and toast, but enjoyed both. The gluten free toast was good. Will go back for GF raisin cinnamon French toast (on menu) next visit. Server was nice and prices agreed with my wallet π

I have celiac & was thrilled to see so many GF options! BUT, the third time I went in for breakfast, having requested no toast on my plate, it arrived with toast touching the omelet. I politely reminded the waitress that I'd requested no toast at all since I prefer not to take the chance as a celiac. She seemed annoyed and took the plate away to the kitchen, returning less than 2 minutes later with the same plate less the toast on it, but with an obvious wipe mark. My friend politely explained that the seriousness of celiac disease and cross contamination issues and requested that the dish be remade. 15 minutes later my plate reappeared, minus the toast. Unfortunately, I have no way of knowing whether they actually remade it or simply placed it under a heat lamp on a clean plate. I was ill for a week after eating that breakfast. I probably wouldn't risk it again.
Not the best food I've ever tasted, but safe for Celiacs & has lots of options!! I had the eggs Benedict (on GF toast). The cinnamon raisin French toast sounded good too, I'll try that next. Items clearly marked gf on menu, and waiters are knowledgeable... as soon as I mentioned "allergy" he said "Do you have Celiac? We make sure there's no cross contamination." Overall good experience, I'll be back π

My daughter’s favorite for breakfast. A lot of GF options including fresh levain sourdough which doesn’t affect me and is always a nice option if you can tolerate it. Service is always good. Wasn’t a fan of the turkey meatloaf hash. But everything else I’ve had is good. A little pricey by average for San Diego I suppose.

A fun little breakfast chain - We went to the location in Mission Beach. I wasn’t completely convinced the waiter knew what the issues I described were but I took a chance on one of the scrambles. I explained the toast issue and he offered to bring me a plate of tomatoes instead. I didn’t get sick and my mashed potato/egg dish was great!

I ask for the safest options for celiac, and they told me that all the Benedict eggs were one of the safest options and the gf French toast, they have a dedicated fryer for the potato’s and the bread it’s so tasty. Definitely coming back

I tend to need extra assurance that precautions are being made. I think this place is so used to having celiac or allergy customers that they might not get that. I asked for the server to speak with the kitchen staff about my needs for gloves change, fresh utensils and fresh batch of anything that might’ve been cut on shared surfaces. He assured me he would put the note “hospital allergy “ and that all would be taken care of. So, if you’re like me and need extra assurances, don’t be afraid to speak up about it. Every menu item I had was so good here. There’s a blanket surcharge of 2% on your entire bill for some reason. I asked about it and the server removed it. Weird! Super friendly staff.
