The last few times I’ve been, they’ve been very lax with taking precautions, despite me explaining how I have celiac. For example, I received pita chips with my crab dip last time, and the time before there were regular fries mixed with my gf fries.

We have been to brewers alley at least 100 times over the last few years and have never had any issues. It is my go to restaurant in downtown Frederick.

Many gluten free options marked on the menu (plus they have a separate frier) just explain to the waiter that you have celiacs.

Only complaint is that food quality is hit and miss. Sometimes everything is perfect and sometimes the food is not up to par.

We stopped in based on others’ reviews. We were not disappointed! There were so many gluten-free options on the menu, it was actually difficult to decide what to pick. We started with the fried pickle chips, then I had the Reuben with fries and my wife had the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. Delicious! Our server said they had dedicated fryers for both gluten free and for peanut free.

The food is fabulous, the atmosphere is very cool, and it is very celiac friendly. I had fried calamari and it was amazing. There are so many choices thanks to the dedicated gluten free fryer and flexible recipes. I look forward to going back soon.

Really fun atmosphere in downtown Frederick! They have a separate fryer, so there are many fried foods safe for Celiacs. It is priceless as a Celiac to be able to go to a pub/bar and able to eat “normally.” I had the fried pickles and fish and chips. Delicious and so filling! Highly recommend.

The level of care and attention was phenomenal. I always get nervous when eating out. The waiter put me at ease. All gf items clearly marked with gf or gfm (gf modified). The bun was steamed on my veggie burger and was so soft that I had to look at other buns on table to make sure it was gf. When server delivered my meal he automatically let me know he had double checked prior to bringing food out. Food was delicious. I wish the mixed drinks were marked if gf or not. Most did say made with Titos. I cannot rate high enough!!! Plus Dedicated Fryer!!!

They have a separate fryer!!! During covid they don’t have printed menus so the server had to tell what they could do, but lots of options. She said they take it seriously. I had wings and fried rice with chicken and they were great!

What a huge gluten-free menu!! WOW!! Dinner was great! We had the nachos to share. And I had the Mediterranean Chicken Sandwich with sweet potato fries. So good! We will definitely go back! There were so many other things I want to try!

My boyfriend and I eat here all the time and i have never had a problem. I love the crab dip and BBQ sandwich is really good. GF bun isn't my favorite but its okay.

They have a separate GF menu with lots of options including fried calamari!

As an update to my December 2015 review, I went back in May 2016 and was rather disappointed. They downsized both the regular and GF menus. The GF options are a lot more limited now. The fish and chips, fried calamari, and fries were no longer on the GF menu and I left feeling sick after eating a chicken sandwich on a GF bun.

the gluten free menu had varied options such as a salad, soups, a few appetizers, burgers etc...Next time, I will ask them to toast my gf roll but everything was good.

The server didn't know much about what I could have on the menu. I ordered a burger and it tasted awful! I didn't even eat it. I ended up ordering some plain seafood appetizer so I had something to eat. They didn't offer to take uneaten burger off check either. I was with a large group so didn't say anything about it. Haven't been back since.

they had just switched their menu, so they didn't have their new GF menu ready. The server told me to order what I wanted, and they would modify it. He said they would prepare everything separately. The food, service and atmosphere was great, and most importantly, I didn't CCed. Definitely recommend!
