Best GF pasta in a restaurant. Excellent food, service. Good prices. Not oversized portions. Frequently have flour-less chocolate cake on the dessert tray. Update - no separate GF menu anymore. Fewer GF dishes and hard to find. Downgrading to 4 stars.
The menu was small but sufficient. I can not eat sea food, taking at least half of the menu out, so the choices were limited. I wasn't that impressed for the cost. But, I didn't get sick, which is always great. My meal arrived correctly, without issues (on a busy Saturday evening) and my waiter knew exactly what to expect with my questions.
While Brio has. GF menu, they seem not to understand the concept. I was there on a not-so-busy Wednesday night. I asked for the GF menu and explained to the waiter I was celiac. I asked if there was a separate prep area and if gloves were changed. He looked at me as if I was speaking Klingon. He had no idea. And his reassurance of "If I mark it gluten free, it'll be fine" was really not assuring. Once my salmon salad came out, it had fried potato strings on it. I asked if those were prepared in a GF fryer and they were not. So, I had to wait another 25 minutes for my salad. Luckily, I did not get sick, but I have no confidence in this restaurant.
They have a GF menu with GF options (salads, chicken, steak, fish, pasta). The pasta dishes are just ok and very pricey for what you get ($19). There wasn't much chicken in either of our pastas, and the sauces were excessively salty. The waiter was simply mediocre, rushing us through our meal. It's nice to have this option, but it's expensive chain restaurant food. Disappointing.
Gf options but I have a secondary food allergy that was also acknowledged by the server and then ignored by the kitchen - the item showed up on my plate. Manager and server were very apologetic and remade the dish but imo if one allergy warning is missed it may not be safe to order expecting gf here either.
Had a really delicious lobster tail risotto here, the wait staff chatted with me extensively about how they would accommodate me (celiacs) and made me feel really comfortable and confident that I was eating safely. I'm fairly sensitive and had no issues whatsoever after the meal!
Recently diagnosed with a severe gluten and wheat allergy. I was finally feeling better and ate from their gluten free menu, was severely sick! Diarrhea within hours, stomach pain and bloating and skin rash later that night! Very disappointed but the good was delicious.
Our server was amazing and considerate, which is not always the case when your eating in a restaurant that automatically brings complimentary bread to the table :) I was pleased with the number of options on the GF menu; even includes dessert!
I've eaten here three times since I found out about their gluten free menu.. 2 times with no issues, 1 time where I found a stray gluteny noodle mixed in with my gluten free pasta. I hate to ban Brio if it was just a one time mistake, but they need to be cautious about cross-contamination in their kitchen. I'd suggest getting something other than the pasta to be extra safe
Small Gluten free menu, but the food is very tasty. I had grilled Salmon, roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes. They offer the same dish with chicken. I saw 3 gluten free pastas and 3 salads on the menu as well. I wanted to update this review because I've been to Brio multiple times since & have not had any problems with food. I consider them as one of my "go to" safe restaurants.
Their GF pasta is good and doesn't make me sick, however I had the worst experience of having my waitress bring out my salad and pasta in gluten form. I would've been sick as a dog if my GF buddy hadn't of stopped me. Their noodles have to be a certain shape to be gluten free. She then asked if I was just "on one of those new diets" and if I could "just eat it anyways". I'm 5'9 and 130 pounds, no I don't need to diet. I need better costumer service! We had her bring the manager. I still go there now, but I'm always more cautious.
We got off to a poor start when, after I asked for their gf menu, the waitress returned without it and asked us if we were ready to order. The menu does caution that this is not a dedicated gf kitchen. That said, there were I believe three salads, three pasta dishes, two chicken dishes, a salmon dish, and creme brûlée on the gf menu. I chose a pasta, which for gf was quite good.
After a terrible attempt at The Cheesecake Factory across the street (even their salads aren't GF! And the staff was clueless), I walked into Brio with tears streaming down my face, figuring that an Italian restaurant would be the very last place I'd be able to find something to eat. Boy was I wrong! Not only did they have a dedicated GF menu, the manager quickly recognized my hunger-induced panic and did an amazing job at helping me choose something to eat and personally ensured that it would be prepared GF. My experience here made my whole day. I would highly recommend.

Sure, they offer a GF menu... But our waiter brought out both the salad and pasta dishes in gluten form. When I told her for the fifth time I could not eat it, she proceeded to ask if it was an allergy or "just a diet tad". Their GF food was good (when I finally got it), but if I didn't have a friend with me who was familiar with their dishes I would've had an allergic attack. Won't go again for their careless service.
