Very good pizza, but not many options. You can get a salad, fruit cup, or 4by4 pizza. For desert, you can get plain vanilla ice cream, but brixx does not make it. It is processed in a facility that may contaminate it. Servers are very kind and understanding.
The pizza is sooo good!!! They have so many options for gluten free pizzas. I have celiac and am very sensitive and I had no problems. Make sure you tell them if it’s allergy or preference. They have a gluten free menu online, and there. Just ask for it and they will give it to you. The service is also great and they are educated on celiac. I would definitely go again!!!
Good service. Ask for the GF menu before you're seated. The GF crust is cooked In a foil tray so it doesn't touch the oven. The cauliflower crust isn't cooked in a tray so it is not Celiac safe. Not th most amazing pizza ever, but pretty good :)
The location has only been open for 4 months so it doesn’t come up in many searches for places to dine in Nashville. They accommodated our celiac son, plus my daughter and I who are gf and vegetarian - and they welcomed our dog on their patio. (They have 2 patios by the way - front and back of the restaurant.) I read about their gf precautions on the website before we got there. And they confirmed it when we were there. They brought us gf menus which also lists all of the allergens in all of their menu items. We were able to order different types of gf pizza - the crust is made at a separate facility. My son and husband got the gf wings and said they were very good. They also have spinach and artichoke dip with blue chips as an appetizer and a gf chocolate torte as a dessert. I got the gf Greek pizza and it was delicious! I felt comfortable with their gf/celiac knowledge. The inside of the restaurant looked really nice but we ate outside since we had our dog with us. The server and the manager were both very nice. And as a bonus they have a really good local cider on tap!!
This is my kid’s favorite GF pizza restaurant. It is one of the only places that offers both a GF (/DF) crust AND Vegan cheese! We have had cross contamination issues where the kitchen staff have sliced the pizza using the same unwashed cutter that was used for gluten pizzas. We’ve caught this on more than one occasion and the mgr has corrected the situation by remaking the pizza. Recommend getting here before they get busy especially if your order needs extra attention. If you visit on a 2 for Tuesday night or with a BOGO coupon the price becomes very affordable.
This place was great! Wait staff and management very helpful. They have a separate place they cook the gluten free pizza. I got the chicken Florentine pizza and it was very good. They have a separate gluten free menu which is helpful. The cauliflower pizza crust is not safe however as it is cooked with the regular pizza. Will definitely go back!
(Celiac) NOPE - this location has gone down hill for me. Last two times I was in there service and staff were terrible and pizza was a soggy, soggy mess. Last time I politely and excitedly suggested to manager that they call their uptown location and ask for suggestions bc they do an amazing job with the GF pizza (some of the best handling/cooking of GF crust I have ever had) Even though I showed him how soggy it was and that cheese was barely melted the manager almost immediately said, “No, this is how we cook it.” Wow just wow. Since not interested in improving and it was awful - I’m out.
I have gone multiple times and not gotten sick. The staff are knowledgeable about what celiac is. They offer a GF menu, and they bake the GF pizzas in an individual pan to help with cross contamination. The cauliflower crust, unfortunately, can not be baked in those pans for some reason, so there is a significantly higher risk of cross contamination. The staff are aware of this and will advise against it.
I stopped in while traveling through. It has a great view of the kitchen so you can literally watch it being made. My only concern is I didn't see if the cutter was used or fresh. Regardless, I did not get sick. The lower rating is due to the bland flavor/texture.
I appreciate Brixx efforts to offer GF and to do so by cooking on a separate tin. However, both times I have eaten Brixx GF pizza the crust is mushy and not fully cooked. I thought it was a one time thing, but couldn’t bring myself to eat it either time. I’m a bit disappointed.
Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Great tasting gluten free pizza cooked in its own pan and is crispy! I also am dairy free and they haven vegan cheese! For those avoiding yeast too, the crust is safe! Will be back again!
I’ve gotten pizza from here several times and have enjoyed my meal. The crust is thin and crispy like you would expect. I wanted to order an Asian pizza and luckily the server let me know the sauce contained gluten so I appreciated that. I am not positive that they have a dedicated space for GF pizzas... They do have really good wings and a flourless chocolate torte that I need to try! You can find them on uber eats!
Pizza, chicken wings, ask for the gf menu. it lists all the allergens and what process thwy go through to avoid cross contaimination, ie separate kitchen space, new gloves, pizza in their own tray and always on the top shelf. Even has a gf dessert!!!
Don’t waste your time unless your just in it for the toppings. The Crust is a very thin pre-made crust that stays soft when cooked except the outer edge. I had to eat it with a fork. The gf pizza is cooked in an aluminum pan and seems to be safe, I didn’t get sick. Enjoyment vs money value though it just wasn’t worth it.
gf pizza but has soy so I cant eat it :( they burned crust for gf kids
almost all of the pizzas on the menu can be made Gluten Free. they are still cooked in the wood oven, but on an pie plate, so they still get the hint of wood smoke. Over all it is a really good place to eat and i would defently reccomand trying them
Great place! The pizza was delicious and the crust was perfect-- not too hard yet not flimsy. GF pizza came out on separate disposable pan to reduce chance of cross contamination. Will definitely be back!
WOW! They cooked my gluten feee pizza in a disposable, aluminum pan. They obviously have been trained and are knowledgeable about cross contamination. My pepperoni pizza tasted very good and I would definitely go back. Plus, they offer dairy free cheese. Whoo Hoo!
One of the few places, my family can eat with peace of mind. GF options are limited to pizzas, which works for us. I have been a patron of Brixx restaurants for over 18 years. All the restaurants are clean and well maintained. The menu has some diversity to it if you are dining with non-gf folks. The pizzas are thin crust and wood burning fire cooked. Service is as expected.
delicious pizza! tried the jerk chicken and chicken florentine. they have a separate GF menu. pizzas come out in their own pan to prevent cross contamination. no reaction after eating here. the toppings are all the way to the edge of the pizza but with regular crust you have an inch of crust left over. another plus in my opinion!
We visited twice in 3 days. I ordered a half Quattro/ half rustica Gluten free pizza, with vegan cheese (no extra charge for cheese) $3.00 extra charge for the GF crust. That is the first time I have ordered GF pizza crust where I believed the charge was well worth it. It has a wonderful chewy texture that is the closest to gluten crust I've come across. Our waitresses Brittany & Bre were helpful and sweet.
I did not get sick, and the texture of the crust was good, but it was completely flavorless. We got two different kinds of GF pizzas, the roasted vegetable and the margherita, and both were incredibly bland. We actually put salt and pepper on both to add some flavor, which is something I never do. Also, overpriced.
Tried Brixx for the first time in a very long time. Historically, the pizza was really good & tasty, but it seemed to always make my husband sick. They have changed their crust (probably to make it more safe?), but it's pretty terrible. The 2 pizza's we ordered had no flavor and the crust was generic, plain, and dry. waitstaff was super friendly, but we won't go back- not worth the time or money.
One night we had pizza. It was pretty good, and the GF crust was actually thicker than the regular! We came back the next night and I had the ceaser salad. It was okay, but the chicken was dry. I felt safe eating here because the server assured us it was prepared separately.
They have a great extent of gluten free options but as for most places they don't have appetizers on their gluten free menu BUT there are no gluten containing ingredients in the spinach and artichoke dip and you can ask for them to use the gluten free pizza dough for the "pita". It's amazing and I have not had a reaction to it. If you're looking for an alcoholic beverage you can get a captain Morgan and coke or ask for Malibu if they have any and sprite or pineapple and orange juice. Those are the two alcohol drinks I know don't have gluten in them. Only downside is staff isn't THAT knowledgeable about gluten allergies.
