This was the worst gluten free bagel I have ever eaten. The lox were minimal and an off shade of pink. I’d avoid on taste alone.
Didn’t read the reviews before I came, just reiterating what was said before! Refused to make any effort to avoid cross contamination, said all bagels are thrown in the same freezer, said it was impossible to not toast the bagel, etc. So don’t eat here if cross contamination is an issue!! Had to leave without getting anything.
Gluten free plain and everything bagel. But they explicitly told me their kitchen can not account for cross contamination of gluten. They use the same toaster as the other bagels and don’t change out their gloves. I asked if I could just get the bagel untoasted, but they told me if you worry about cross contamination with gluten, not to eat here. I didn’t risk it, but given the previous reviews I came here thinking it could be safe so wanted to add this note. Very friendly and nice people though!
Frozen with indecision, the amount of options overwhelming. Pressed for time, as I was the last in my group to order, squinting to read the menu packed with ingredients, I chose the Putnam on a gf everything bagel. It had chicken, beef, chives cream cheese, assorted peppers and topped with bbq chips; extravagant to say the least. Now came the hard part…waiting. I was number 68, and numbers 69, 70 and 71 passed me by. My head tilting with excitement every time I thought my number was called, only to sag with disappointment when it was not. Alas, number 68 was announced. I eagerly opened the wrapping to find a pleasantly portioned bagel creation, so hot to the touch I was forced to wait some more. To make a long story short, it was delicious. A healthy amount of cream cheese, sauce and yummy chicken. Although somewhat difficult to eat, it created a swirling flavor palette in my mouth reminiscent of the seen in Ratatouille where the chef experienced the rat’s assortment of foods for the first time.
The people that I’m with are getting mad at the lengthiness of this review, so I’ll be signing off now. I would recommend.
