Bru Burger Bar

I had the burger snack, similar tasting to a Big Mac apparently and it was very good. The bun was soft and not ten inches high so no need to dislocate your jaw to fit in mouth (if ya know ya know 🤣). Fries were also in a separate fryer. I’m sensitive celiac and didn’t get sick. Would totally go back if in the area.

We had a really scary experience. We all ordered off the GF menu, and my salad came with croutons. When we asked, the waiter didn’t know if they were GF. Turns out they were not. He didn’t even offer to have my salad remade. So scary and maddening. On the flip side, the kids enjoyed their burgers on GF buns.

Eat here regularly, no issues. Burgers and fries are great as are the salads on the GF menu! No issues ordering GF with curbside pickup. The patio is a nice option when the weather is nice. Favorites are gorgonberry pecan salad and provincial burger.

Amazing! First of all, the hostess was super friendly and answered all my questions. They had a separate gf menu and the food was delicious!!! A definite gem!

My family has eaten here probably 7-8 times in the past year with my two celiac sons and have never had an issue. The servers have all been familiar with celiac and are very accommodating. Plus they have a dedicated separate fryer for French fries - it’s one of the few places in town my boys can safely have fries!

Bru Burger is by far my favorite restaurant in Lexington for GF options! I eat there at least once or twice a week, and no matter the waiter/waitress they always take my gluten allergy seriously and know what exactly is GF on the menu (or how to make something GF). It’s obvious they’ve been well trained on the GF options and measures to prevent contamination in their establishment. Most importantly, the food is delicious, and I’m not reduced to only a patty on lettuce.. I can get an actual burger with the bun and fries!

They offer UDI’s buns for all of their burgers, and the fries are fried in their own separate fryer so they are legitimately GF (yay!). You can’t go wrong with the “bru burger” burger option (bacon, taleggio cheese, tomato jam, and mayo).

The gorgonberry pecan salad is EXCELLENT and doesn’t have any gluten-containing ingredients that have to be modified, but I always tell them about my allergy anyway and they make a point of letting the kitchen know so it is handled separately of any croutons used in other salads.

I can’t say enough good things about Bru Burger as a GF option for Lexington folks!

Ate a burger with GF bun and side of fruit. Tasted good. I spoke with a manger when I arrived about gluten ingredients and cross contamination. They were very accommodating. My burger was cooked in a clean skillet and not the grill. As far as I could tell there were not dedicated toppings for making the GF burger so they used all new produce and condiments at my request. They also changed gloves, etc. The dedicated GF fryer was off limits for the day because something with gluten accidentally contaminated it. I was glad they shared that info. No reaction.

This place had great burgers with GF buns. They also have a dedicated fryer and the best French fries we’ve ever had. We were very glad we gave them a try.

We stumbled upon this restaurant while in town for Keeneland. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable in their gluten free menu. I had their turkey burger and french fries. It was nice that they had a dedicated fryer so that I could enjoy a rare treat of fries. We will be back the next time in Lexington.

Had a great experience here! They make their fries in a gluten-free fryer, there's a separate gluten free menu, and the gluten free bun was actually quite tasty. On top of that, the food was DELICIOUS!

this place was great. high knowledge and attention to gluten from wait staff. burger was really yummy and they have a dedicated fryer for fries. I was staying the night by the airport and was super thankful this place was there. I have celiac and feel great after eating there.

Some of the burger combinations could be improved, but they have some great options and take good care with their gf menu. Never had a reaction here.
