Not gluten free AT ALL!! They didnt know what gluten was, they reuse bowls for the auce with breaded foods, they say the fries are in a separate frier but then say thry arent, and I found out after eating half my salad that there were croutons underneath. side note, my tenders werent done and they tasted like fish. never. again. Im gonna go be sick now, cause I got glutened.
I love Buffalo Wild Wings, my favorite place to get wings actually! Now, there is cross contamination, but the traditional chicken wings are naturally gluten free, minus the cross contamination. I normally get the Sweet BBQ traditional wings and fries, along with ranch. I’ve never had a problem at any of the establishments, and continue to eat there whenever I can!
A manager came by right away when I asked our server about gluten free items. He brought out a binder of ingredients in each dish and answered my questions. The traditional wings are fried in a separate fryer than breaded items and most sauces are GF. I was able to eat fries too without having a reaction! Wonderful service that exceeded my expectations.
They do not use a dedicated fryer for their non breaded wings. They have an allergen menu online that does list possible contamination but the list for non fried gf is very limited. Their wings made me realize that I cannot have their high level of contamination.
One of the best BWW I’ve been too. Made an allergy friendly naked tenders at 11pm at night and didn’t get sick. The manager even came out to talk to me to ensure everything was gluten free. Very impressed!
The fryers are not dedicated, so you will get glutened. Staff was helpful but told me ‘I think’ the boneless wings were gluten free, which should have been a red flag. I told them it was important for me to know because it is like food poisoning. The person taking my offer was very polite, however and showed me the ingredient binder, however it does not correlate with the fryers.
Great place. Mentioned to the waiter how a prior review mentioned a dedicated fryer for gluten free items, she didn’t know, so I made my wing order and was immediately met by the manager. Who was very understanding of the allergy and tried everything to make it right before the order was placed but there is no dedicated fryer for traditional wings, so I had to resort to grilled chicken with carrots and that even got me sick. If I wasn’t celiac I’d give it 4/5 stars for the way the manager handled the situation, but this is a gluten free app, trying to keep people with celiac disease from having to feel the effects of coming into contact with allergens. This place gets a 1/5 stars for being a great place to eat unless you are allergic to gluten 😂
BBW has one of the best allergen menus I have ever seen so it’s kind of annoying that they don’t do anything for you if you have an allergy. If something does not have gluten in it then it has been cross contaminated with something that has gluten. I do eat here every now and then but I can only order one thing. The naked tenders. You have to order a different side other than fries so I usually get carrot sticks. I get the lemon pepper seasoning so I can still get the taste of wings without actually having wings. I would not recommend but if you find yourself needed food, there is something you can order.
Staff was knowledgeable and able to accommodate GF items. I ordered the bone-in wings with carrots/celery. Plenty of flavors to pick from. I did not have any issues. Be sure to speak with your server and ask questions to ensure their practices haven’t changed. They explained they have a dedicated fryer, label your food, and make an announcement in the kitchen when an allergy order occurs.
They now have a dedicated fryer for the traditional wings and also buffalo chips. You have to request that your order be made using the dedicated fryer and your order should come out with a purple sticker on it. Not all of the staff is familiar with it. If not, ask to speak with a manager. I am Celiac and I eat there regularly. Haven’t had any issues that I know of. Most of the wing flavors are gluten free but there are a few that are not. You can find that information on line.
The wings were okay, but it took forever to get served and the server forgot to put in my side, so it didn’t arrive till after my meal. Not the worst dining experience but I can get better wings elsewhere, with better service and minus the 20 televisions.
We ordered the Traditional wings and Honey BBQ the sauce was advised to be Gluten freeOur container had four Boneless wings within the container of Traditional. We called the Manager and he told us that the Tumbler they use foe the wings does both traditional and Boneless.
I went to BWW to celebrate someone's birthday. I asked if they had a gluten free menu. The waiter told me that I "came to the wrong place." I already feel like an outsider, not being able to eat regular food, but that comment made me feel unwelcome. The manager is the only person allowed to talk to guests about GF options. He brought me a binder with all their menu items and all the potential allergens. There was nothing I could eat, so I ordered a veggie boat. So disappointing.
Great at gluten free if you dine in. However every time I order it to go (over the phone or online) and say it’s an allergy, they always mess up the order and include bread or something g else with wheat. I’ve never had any issues dining in but they can’t seem to get it figured out when ordering it to go.
I have been here many times and eat the barbecue chicken salad, I was told today that the honey barbecue sauce has switched manufacturers and is no longer gluten free. They did tell me that they now have a dedicated fryer for the wings so that I can get them with no problem
Nothing, not even the salad is GF here, except traditional wings. Epic fail
While my family found food that was acceptable to them I got foods off their online menu that were listed as not having gluten. I ate my food but before leaving the restaurant I got sick. I would say this place is not Gluten free friendly.
The staff was sympathetic to the allergy but this app is what’s mostly getting the 2 stars. If something is fried in the same oil as an item containing gluten, it’s contaminated. Everything at BWW is fried in the same oil. Maybe some people are more sensitive than others, but this is FAR from Celiac Friendly when it comes to the risk of cross contamination.
I saw that various chains have allergen menus and knowledge on how to treat allergies but at this location the hostess told me “everything we sell here is gluten” which is ridiculous. Obviously their staff is completely untrained and I don’t want to have to coach somebody how to treat a gluten allergy. There was no mention of allergens on the menu so we walked out. Don’t waste your time here.
These folks are prepared with a thorough allergen list. Their fryers are not gluten free, but they were knowledgeable about what menu items did and didn't contain gluten and brought our food to the table with gloved hands.
Favorite gluten free wing place. I love all the options.
Very good waitress, knowledgeable and helpful. Good selection of GF items. No bun for the burger but I personally don’t care. Overall very helpful people. Manager helped answer additional allergen questions for us (wife has egg and wheat allergy).
They have dedicated “baskets” for the traditional wings and fries but they are still fried in the same oil as the breaded items. The manager here was not very helpful, friendly, or empathetic. My server was very nice and took the time to try and answer all of my questions. I ended up getting naked tenders tossed in buffalo sauce and a side salad.
The staff told me they had a dedicated fryer and which items were gluten free when they weren’t! While eating I began not feeling well and asked the staff again if it was made in a dedicated fryer and that the food i order were gf and said they weren’t! Definitely won’t be coming back again.
Based on the last review about the dedicated fryer, we were excited! But, the allergen list on line indicates there are not dedicated fryers. When I called, I asked if the traditional wings had a dedicated fryer and I was told yes. When I pushed, the dedicated fryer is also used for boneless wings, which are breaded and not gluten free based on their alleged list. So it’s not dedicated. No wings for us (we didn’t go so I can’t speak to any other food options).
Desert heat dry rub traditional wings are the best anywhere. The staff is excellent, and Tuesdays are half price traditional wings.
The staff knew about celiac and the gluten free fryer right away. The food was delicious!
So I am giving it four stars because you really only have one option if you are celiac (no designated fryer for bone-in wings or fries). the naked tenders. But you can get any sauce minus two. That being said, the chicken was cooked to perfection and my waiter was AMAZING. He brought my meal out separate as well as all of the dipping sauces I asked for. I normally would not suggest a place with so few of options but I felt so taken care of. If you are gluten intolerant you have tons of options.
