They are very nice here and provided us with their allergen menu, unfortunately they don’t use separate fryers or do anything to avoid cross contamination so, while we were excited to get wings, upon arrival we were disappointed to learn that my wife would be unable to eat anything despite the prior reviews indicating that there would be safe products.
We went in today as a large group, 8 people, all GF as 6 of us have celiac disease. They have separate fryers for GF wings and a separate fryer for GF potato items . They have sauces that are GF and even keep them away from the other items. I extremely sensitive and so I ate very slow to see if I was going to get sick . Usually with in 30 mins I know if I got contaminated. It’s been 2 hours and I feel great! They staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely will go anytime we are in town !
They have a separate fryer for their traditional wings and French fries. Some wing sauces not GF, but they deeply the wings naked and then add the sauce after. Not all locations do this, but Helena is really good about it!
We were blessed with a server that was knowledgeable about was gluten free and took good care of me. I got the hamburger without a bun and a side salad. My meal seemed to be better than my husband’s who is not gluten free as mine seemed hotter and fresher. The waiter said there are three different friers and the bone in wings and fries should be okay. I was scared to risk it before an 8 hour flight. So far so good!
My waitress was also gluten free and assured me my food would be cooked separately. I got the naked tenders and French fries. It took a bit longer than the rest of my groups food but thats understandable. Unfortunately the menu had nothing to be able to tell what had gluten or not.
Just this BWW has dedicated GF fryer, you do need to ask if it has been contaminated. So far they have been very honest, at times when it was they offered to oven bake everything including fries. My son is very sensitive and gets stomach ache with minute contamination, we go there weekly and he has never gotten sick
I would only eat here if you want a salad, naked chicken, or a burger with no bun or fries. Not celiac friendly. I didn’t risk it.
