Butcher and The Rye

We had a great experience here last weekend! Our server/bartender, Chase, was knowledgeable and helpful and they were extremely diligent about making sure our food was safe. I’m GF and DF and they were able to handle both. They checked ingredients where they were uncertain and as they brought out each dish for me they said it was the “celiac version.” Food was delicious and drinks were amazing. They even created a cocktail for me (Tito’s, strawberry, basil, seltzer). It’s been a week so I can say with confidence that I didn’t get glutened. I loved this place and plan to go back whenever I’m in Pittsburgh. Definitely recommend.

I am a very sensitive celiac and I had absolutely no issues eating here! The server was very knowledgeable and I had the most delicious scallops and risotto. They were very nice about it and I would trust them again and again! Very nice atmosphere and cocktail menu as well.

Server was very conscientious of gluten free and other allergies (sesame seeds). They don't have a gluten free menu but were aware of what can be modified and what is not safe for gluten free eaters. Excellent food!
