Menus does not list anything as gluten free. I thought I would be safe with the corn chips but was sick the next day. Shame on me for not asking, but it looks like others had the same issue.

I was torn on how to review this because there is a likely chance of cross contamination, BUT they were completely transparent with us. We wanted the cheese dip and she told us that while they use corn tortillas, it is shared with the fryer they use flour tortillas. She asked if it was an allergy when he ordered his food so she said the kitchen would use a different pan. They offer corn tortillas. My son doesn’t have reactions when he’s glutened so I can’t tell you if there was cross contamination. The food was really good and I appreciate how transparent they were about their operations regarding gluten.

Cabo is hit or miss with their cross contamination issues. My husband were frequent visitors because we love the food so much. Every once in a while I would get sick. But the past couple visits I’ve been super sick for days after eating at Cabo. No, they are definitely not celiac friendly. I asked the manager if they’d consider GF tofu and he said probably not. Super sad, Cabo is no longer on our radar.

I got super sick multiple times...they are excellent at cross contamination. Celiacs beware.

I had the "white corn" tortillas shells for my tacos. They looked like flour tortillas- I asked the waitress to make sure they were corn and she assured me that they were gluten free and they were the new brand they had just started using. Against my better judgement and common sense I ate them. I was very ill for three days. I am a celiac. I was told two days later that a friend of ours experienced the same thing at Cabo and he was very ill. He is a celiac also. I believe Cabo has good intentions but they need to educate their staff and kitchen. A wheat allergy and celiac is not anything to take lightly. Someone who is just on abstaining from gluten is totally different than someone with an autoimmune condition. Sadly I can never eat here again.

I’ve been here twice and haven’t had a reaction either time. I have had two different waiters and both times when asked for corn tortillas because I was celiac they have explained to me how the chef would prepare it to avoid cross contact.

The food was good. The tortilla chips are made in a shared fryer. Make sure to let them know upfront that you need to avoid gluten. You can order corn tortillas for tacos and ask that they put them on the grill instead of using shared equipment. An added bonus: This is a nut-free restaurant.

Tacos can be made on corn tortillas to make them GF. Nachos are from shared fryer so not GF. Was told all meats were safe, but one had a soy glaze, so I avoided that one. Had Mahi-mahi & carne asada tacos they were good. One of sides contains beer but all other sides are GF.
