We stopped here for breakfast before a long day of biking, and it was DELISH! Plenty of gluten free choices, and the Brazilian cheese bread is baked to perfection. There was a long line, but it moved quickly and our food arrived to us efficiently. Can't recommend the breakfast sandwiches enough, and the waffles (made from Brazilian cheese bread dough) were incredible!
No symptoms after, from a very sensitive GF customer.
Staff very understanding with what was or wasn’t safe. some bakery items are gluten free but at risk for cross contamination but staff knew exactly which was and wasn’t. All crepes are celiac safe and delicious!!! Great Acai and smoothie options as well. highly recommend!
We stopped here to get a quick coffee, but unfortunately, we did not eat anything there. The coffee’s were quite good. We tried the hazelnut Nutella latte, which was very nice. If you’re looking for something more sweet, you might want to try their other varieties. From my understanding, they did have some gluten-free items available that were safe for those with Celiac. We definitely will return if we are in the area.
This is my top pick from my trip to San Francisco. I loved all the options and went here three separate times to try the breakfast, lunch and pastry. I’ve had pão de queijo before but not as a sandwich. I think it’s a recipe I’ll have to bring back home to try now that gf bread is going for $8 a loaf. And the waffles? Taste amazing with those two spreads
Over-priced and underwhelming, but safe. I would return if desperate for a known safe option. Got the gf tapioca crepe with smoked salmon for $19. Crepe texture was tough on outside and a bit of a chewy jaw breaker. They totally skimped on the fillings with almost no salmon and unripe avocados. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but my crepe was half of the thickness as the photos from other customers. Willing to try something else next time.
Ate breakfast here everyday of our trip to San Fran. Beautiful atmosphere, and staff was knowledgeable about celiac. They said the cheese bread sandwiches were not safe from cross contamination, but the tapioca crepes were completely safe. Ate a different one everyday and never got sick. Loved the food and atmosphere! Just wish there were more gf options for baked goods.
Came here because they had gluten free options on their menu and I have Celiac disease and must eat gluten free.
Husband ordered:
- Pour over coffee. $4.25
- Chicken, bacon & Brazilian cream cheese cheese bread sandwich. $8.50
I ordered:
- Presunto Crepe (ham & cheese.) $11.75
- Salmon & Brazilian cream cheese cheese bread sandwich. $8.75
I noticed that some of the pastries were marked gluten free at the ordering area but there only looked to be one set of tongs. I didn't want to eat something potentially cross contaminated so I stuck to the hot food.
Service was fairly quick after you place your order. Water, sauces and silverware are self-serve and there is a place to put your used dishes after you finish your meal. We sat inside at the bar by the windows.
My husband's chicken sandwich was fine. Coffee was fine.
My ( beiju de tapioca) presunto crepe was a 0/10. The tapioca crepe batter not only looks unappetising, but it tastes terrible. There seems to be no seasoning, just tapioca starch and water. It was difficult to choke down and I tried to drown it in hot sauce, but it was awful. Not only that, but for something that's more than $12 - the price of a decent omelette elsewhere - it felt like it could have had more filling than a few slices of unappetising-looking lunch meat with a light amount of cheese. I shared it with my husband because I couldn't eat it all with such a meh taste. Either change the batter recipe or take it off the menu, because it's horrible.
My husband told me to order something else because we'd be out all day and it's hard to find gluten free options, even in San Francisco. I ordered the salmon and cream cheese cheese bread sandwich. It was fine but the cheese bread, while the largest I've seen, was not the best pão de quiejo I've had.
The cheese bread sandwiches are just okay and the crepe is so bad it shouldn't be on the menu. While I appreciate having a gluten free option, I would not go back here.

There is a huge variety of offerings including GF crepes (sweet and savory) and cheese bread sandwiches. My husband had the shredded beef and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. My ham and cheddar sandwich was also very tasty. Wish we were spending more time in SF so I could come back here!
There is a line, but it moves in an orderly fashion (and by the time you order there is usually a seat that opens up). Opted for the cheese bread, egg, avocado and bacon sandwich. It was perfect (the bread is definitely their specialty). Green juice was a perfect blend. Daughter’s açaí bowl. Will try the tapioca flour crepe next time.
Amazing breakfast! GF clearly labelled and a huge selection. Crepes were a huge hit with my family, as was the acai bowl with GF granola! Highly recommended! Opens at 8 and very quickly had a queue out of the door which shows you how good it is - definitely worth the wait if you arrive and find a queue. We got there 5 minutes before opening and were at the front of the queue
This type of “crepe” is gummy and chewy. So don’t expect a traditional crepe. Reminds me of Mochi. The white coating in the pictures is not powdered sugar, but rather how the crepe looks plain. This style of crepe was not to my liking, but the contents were delicious, and the side of fruit was fresh and tasty. The Brazilian cheese bread sandwiches were not recommended for celiac due to possible cross contamination. If you are in the area, check it out. But it’s not a destination spot. Very limited seating.
Great place where we could enjoy our breakfast! It does close at 2 pm so no late lunches!
I ordered a chicken bacon Brazilian cream cheese cheese bread sandwich. It was delicious. The seating is limited inside. There is some outdoor seating. There is always a line. The food is that good.
Amazing! The crepes aren’t your traditional crepes, they are made with tapioca flour and are a little chewier than traditional crepes, but delicious! I had the omelette crepe which was game, eggs and cheese. My son had the ham and cheese crepe and my husband had the one with dried beef. My son also had the hot chocolate and it was delish and just the right temp. We also had a side of the cheese bread. We were there at 8am when they opened and there was already a line to get in. When we left the line wrapped around the building.
This café is delicious! Almost everything is gluten free. It tasted very good and was not to expansive. They know we’re the are talking about and they wrote on their menus what was GF. But it is a small café and there are not many places to take a seat. When I was their there were many people waiting outside to take an order. It doesn’t take to long, I think like 10min. But the waiting is totally worth it!
