I had lunch, outside. Very comfortable. “Gf” wasn’t labeled on the menu, but wait staff was VERY knowledgeable. Food was excellent! I had the yellow beet salad and coquille st jacques with potatoes, green beans, and carrots. The chef does not use flour in any of the sauces and can adapt most of the dishes as needed. Really outstanding food! So many other great options to try, I’ll be back!
I found this French gem through TripAdvisor. I called ahead and was delighted when they told me that most of their menu was already gluten free and they were very familiar with customizing plates to accommodate gluten allergies. They have gluten free crackers. Since everything is made from scratch, they could even do DAIRY FREE by making it oil based vs with butter.
We enjoyed the diver scallops with a mustard mushroom cream sauce as an appetizer. I indulged in the pork loin with roasted garlic honey sauce, corn polenta, and a sherry reduction. My husband enjoyed the veal in a lemon caper sauce.
Oh and there was DESSERT. Not just sorbet and ice cream (though they did have those, too), but THREE GF options.
I had the lemon curd, cherry and blackcurrant compote, Mascarpone Chantilly treat that arrived in a generously sized bowl.
My husband wolfed down the
flourless chocolate cake stuffed with chocolate mousse, savoring every bite.
I cannot recommend this place enough and I’m surprised I’m having to add it to findmeglutenfree.
Oh and be sure to dress up. It’s in the top 100 most romantic restaurants in the country.
