Probably fine if you actually get the right cake. We ordered 2 slices that were gluten free to share, but the waiter brought my husband the wrong one and I didn't realize until after eating it. The waiter insisted he brought the correct one, but they look completely different. This put an abrupt end to our sight seeing, obviously.

As soon as we were seated we mentioned to our waiter that we were coeliacs, he immediately provided us with the main menu and the cakes menu so we could see ALL options - Austria and Germany have a clear allergens listing in their restaurant menus. When ordering the Bratwurst and mash, the waiter again conformed it was GF and safe. We also had the hot chocolates (clearly made with real chocolate) - this is a bit of a novelty for us with many drinking chocolate blends containing gluten. Great experience

I asked info about cross contamination and the waitress clearly confirmed that they don't care about contamination at all. All the cakes are near the gf one. I suggest you avoiding this place

Only 3 choices but certainly enough ! The coffee sponge and the almond cake, both labelled gluten-free, were absolutely delicious and light

Extensive menu with clear labeling of GF items. Great outdoor café atmosphere and right around the corner from the long line at Sacher Cafe. We ordered the coffee cream sponge cake (Kardinalschitte) which is GF. It was delicious and it’s similar to Tiramisu. I also ordered the almond chocolate cake (Rehrucken) which is also very good, moist, and probably similar to the Sacher Torte.

There were 3 cakes available gluten free, I looked at the counter and each slice was wrapped separately in plastic so I was satisfied there wasn't cross contact in the display case. The cake I had was delicious although the prices are high, 9 euro for a slice. I would say it is worth the splurg if you want a fancy cake but this place is not budget friendly.

Beautiful cafe right in downtown - easy to find. Menu is marked with gluten free items. I only looked at desserts, but the waiter also offered a lunch menu. Great spot to take a break. Came here twice during my stay. It is exactly how I pictured a cafe in Vienna to be.

Didn’t have gluten free bread.

Staff extremely knowledgeable, excellent gluten-free rolls. Several incredible desserts (see pictures). I had the sausage appetizer. Excellent horseradish and mustards as well.

I had one of the only GF pastries I saw available (you can use their abbreviation system as standard in Austria to label allergens) which was Kardinal Schmitt and I will put in a photo shortly- very good! Usually a line to get a seat indoors but outdoors if cold weather is immediate!
They had 5 different pastries! Mine had coffee cream in it. It was just delish!
