Cafe Zazzle

I have been eating at Zazzle for years. I have not had any problems in the past 5 years. Although I am not Celiac, I am sensitive to cross contamination.

I get the same thing every time - " gluten allergy. Fish tacos. 2 tacos. With avocado. No aioli. 4 sides jalapeno dressing. No black beans, double slaw."

Black beans are celiac safe, I just don't like them. The aioli is not listed as safe for Celiacs as an ingredient is processed in a shared facility - or so says the chef. I've eaten it because we had picked it up and it was there and I decided to live dangerously and I was ok, but I don't really like it and prefer to avoid it.

I’ve heard good things about Zazzle for celiacs and used to love to go here before my allergy developed, but I got super sick from the tri tip tacos. I later found out that they’re served with a sauce that has gluten and the server did not have the knowledge when I told him of my allergy and placed the order. Seems like kind of a major oversight and sadly ruined the restaurant for me.

Restaurant has a gluten free menu with a lot of options. I got the curry with rice noodles and it was so delicious! The servers are nice, friendly and give great service.
