Had gluten free items marked on the menu. They quickly told me what was safe and what was not. They seemed knowledgable. They had a gluten free cheesecake option which was tasty (highlight of our trip to order dessert). The food was okay overall. My celiac daughter loved the ribs!!!

Yummy! Had smoked turkey breast , baked beans and coleslaw. Many options for people that are gluten free and have celiac disease. They do not have a gluten free menu but can tell you what is gluten free.

All of the meat here is gluten free as well as many of the side items. The flavor was amazing! I had pulled pork, green beans, and cole slaw and would highly recommend it! They had multiple BBQ sauces that were GF and very tasty as well. They do not serve anything fried so no worries about fryer contamination.

Location, location. Beautiful place to eat on the coastal waterway. Large screened porch, picnic pavilions, and old shady oaks. All the meat is gf. We enjoyed platters of pork and brisket. Sides were okay, not our favorite.l, but acceptable. They do have a list of gf sides at the counter. 3 of 4 sauces gf. Avoid the mustard/gold sauce. For those who can do gluten, the Mac and cheese (my kids and FinL tell me) is very good. Did not get sick here, always a plus, and worth a return trip for lunch.

Pretty good BBQ. Nothing special, but the location was phenomenal!

Captains has delicious gf beef burgers and pork. They do have a 2 yummy bbq sauces gf too. Their chicken and turkey are also great and gf. I do not have to ask but they offer the info about having a clean space and cleaning the grill spot for gf cooking. They usually have gf bread or bun for sands and their cucumber salad and beet salad are yummy! Portions on the sides are a bit small. My daughter loves the kids pork with side of Mac.

DELICIOUS and items are marked, staff is conscientious have been eating here for years.

The staff was careful about my allergy and went out of their way to make sure I could eat there. It was a great experience. Delicious and filling food too! Plus, they use the best gluten free bread for the sandwiches.

Celiac friendly?

Yes

They don’t have a separate gluten free menu but the meat has been safe and the sides I’ve had, such as the mashed yams and the beans, were very good. I always let people know ahead that I have a wheat allergy. I have had no problems, and have been here several times.

All their meats are GF and multiple sides that are safe. Excellent BBQ!
