There’s not a separate GF menu, but most items on the regular menu — including fries — are marked GF. Gnocchi and a brisket sandwich with kimchi were both good, but my favorite was the fried tofu sandwich with plenty of pickles and spicy bite.
My party’s highly sensitive person with celiac sampled everything we ordered with no problems.
Friendly staff. Great bar with reasonably priced drinks. And amazing musicians!
We went for happy hour and every option was gluten free! The specialty drink was light and delicious, and I got to have a fried chicken sandwich and fries. They said the whole kitchen, Monday through Thursday, is entirely gluten free aside from the buns they offer for the sandwich, but I was able to have a gluten free bun for mine. I felt safe and did not have a reaction.
An amazing place. Food is top tier. Best gf chicken sandwich I’ve ever tasted. Vibes are awesome and drinks are amazing.
My wife and I both have celiac and we were staying a couple blocks from Capulet for a vacation. Couldn't believe how lucky we were! The staff was very knowledgeable about celiac and also was just really nice and fun. The menu is great for celiac vegetarians - we ordered the Fried Tofu sandwich which is something I never thought I'd be able to order at a restaurant. We were only able to go twice because they're closed Fri-Sun for private events. We went for Happy Hour, which has inexpensive sandwiches, $1 Fries with sandwich purchase, cheap but very good tequila drinks. We also had a couple great cocktails, some roasted brussels sprouts and broccoli falafel. Great venue space - it's casual food service, but feels like you're in a fancy hall. Only complaint is we couldn't go every night. If you're celiac, and especially if you're also vegetarian, you have to go, especially for Happy Hour, then go the next night! 10/10
This place is so sweet to stumble across! I got the fried chicken sandwich (which normally id never even dare to eat because, terrifying) but it was so good and so safe. The furikake fries were also delicious! The chef totally understands the needs of celiacs and I felt so taken care of. Def support them!!
I know it sounds crazy but their chicken sandwich may well be the best gluten free thing I have ever eaten. I have been wanting to go here so when I found myself nearby I stopped in even though it was 4 o’clock and I had eaten a late lunch. I ordered food to go so that I could eat with my family who were not with me although I knew that it may not be as tasty after the journey. I needn’t have worried. I ate my sandwich one hour later and it was still warm and crunchy. The pickle on top was homemade and the sauce was terrific as well.
I got a cocktail to go, and it was also well crafted. I would love to return to eat in and enjoy the music next time.
If you’re a tourist in the French quarter, know that it’s not far at all. If it’s early, be sure to check out the nearby murals and Crescent Park. You’ll be glad you did.
I cannot day enough good things about this place! The chef’s sister has celiac so he 100% knows what he’s doing. Let them know what severity of gluten issues you have (celiac, intolerance, preference) and they will happily take care of you. The menu even comes with a disclaimer about celiac, not just gluten. This place is a must if you find yourself in New Orleans
