I’m at this restaurant now and there is NO Gluten Free menu ☹. Hard to trust your app these days 🤨
The online menu does not match the actual menu at the restaurant, so the limited GF options are even more limited once you get there. I had to repeat 3 times the word "gluten" to the hostess when asking for a GF menu (should have ran away right there). The waitress we had seemed very annoyed about our dietary restrictions and brought us a huge loaf of glutinous bread even though I explained that all of our party had gluten allergies. When I asked if the bread was GF, she had no idea what to say. Does she not know about gluten containing foods? Did she not care? Regardless- I wouldn't go to this place if I was you. Restaurants that advertise "GF" friendliness and don't bother to train their staff are worse, IMHO, than those who don't even bother to try to deal with the Celiac world. Just hoping that we don't get sick.
Downey has so few places that are gluten free friendly. And this is not my favorite place to eat. Mainly because their menu is so small. But my meal was pretty delish. :)
As of February 12,2021 they do not have a gluten free menu due to covid.
— No gluten-free information on the menu
They don’t have gluten free menu however they are knowledgeable about gluten free dishes when requested and they have gluten free options
After returning though I don’t recommend the place. I asked for a new salad without croutons because of an allergy and they just took the croutons off with bread crumbs showing. Won’t be returning unfortunately since when they do make the food gluten free it tastes good. However I no longer trust that the food is indeed gluten-free
— Not very
— Gluten-free items are marked on the main menu
Inquired about the gluten free selections multiple times prior to ordering GF Chicken Parmesan specifically from their gluten free menu. Shortly after eating became profusely sick vomiting and diarrhea for four hours.
