They still have a gluten free menu (also includes vegetarian choices) and chips and salsa. There are lots of options, kids meals aren't listed but you can do kids meals out of adult gluten free menu items (for example kids enchilada meal as enchiladas are gluten free). Our child with Celiac disease didn't get sick. The chips are gluten free but they tasted a little off like they needed to clean or change their grease. The rice was undercooked in places. Overall the food quality was good, not great, but good enough that with the gluten free options and friendly service we would probably eat there again.
Waiter Andrew was very knowledgable about gluten intolerance. Menu has several items to pick from and not just on a typed sheet of paper. The food was tasty and the chips and salsa were gluten free which was great with my mango margarita. I did not get sick afterwards, so I would definitely recommend this restaurant, as I can tell within 30 minutes if I got any gluten.
Dedicated gluten free menu. Salsa, chips, queso, all gluten free! Very good Mexican food that isn't "too" spicy....just flavorful with a mild bite. Quite a bit to choose from on the gluten free menu. Our first time to this restaurant, while traveling. Waiter was quite pleasant. We'll hit this chain again.
They have a full GF menu. It's a Mexican restaurant with a focus on the Midwestern pallet. When I started asking questions they were very helpful and the manager came out and went over the cooking and sourcing. Super friendly and helpful. I asked about the name of the restaurant and got a neat little history lesson of how they choose the name. I'm a 5ppm and below, and am not bad today (next morning). I did eat the chips, enchiladas, beans, salsa. Yes, I would go again but would not eat everyday.
Fantastic!! We have 3 with food issues: 2 celiac & lactose intolerant & 1 gluten intolerant. They have a great GF menu & the management, staff & kitchen are VERY knowledgeable about food allergies & cross contamination. I was VERY impressed. We haven't had "safe" Mexican restaurant food for over 8 years & this is now our go to when in Lincoln!
Staff was very knowledgeable and assured me that precautions would be taken to prevent cross-contamination. I’ve had multiple things off of their gluten free menu and I’ve never had an issue. They were busy but managed to keep my meal safe!
They gave a very nice gluten-free menu and a dedicated GF frier for tortilla chips and other menu items. My daughter has Celiac Disease, she ordered El'Guapo Tacos from the GF menu. Food was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful, however before dinner was over it was blatently evident that my daughter had been exposed to gluten. I spoke with the manager, who appeared to be knowledgeable about Celiac Disease, he was very concerned for my daughter and he promised that he would find the source of contamination.
I give them 5 stars because I've never been sick from eating here ( I'm Celiac and pretty sensitive) they have a separate GF menu, even the chips are GF, ( unlike On theBorder). But...it's tex mex, and sometimes a little lack-luster.
I would have put this lower, but you can not. The whole place was disgusting. There were chips everywhere on the floor both in the seating area and back by the kitchen. The kitchen cleanliness itself was disgusting. You can tell by walking to the bathroom and looking into the kitchen. I have had a strong reaction as a result of this place. I do not recommend!
Very slow food prep, most of our food was dried out on top, from sitting in a warmer too long. I ordered from the gluten-free menu and was served a dish with with flour tortillas - wish I had known before I ate half of them! Wait staff poorly trained on GF, absolutely NOT safe for Celiacs and not worth the risk!
Gluten free menu with 12+ entrees including salads. I had enchiladas. I ordered three with my choice of meat. I chose pulled chicken, fajita chicken and steak. But they messed up by giving me chicken breast for all three. The manager gave me my entree for free. Much more than I expected. Either way the food was great and the chips and salsa were good. My wife loved her fajita salad. This will be one of our go to places when we move to Manhattan in the fall
4.5 stars. Jumbo margaritas on Thursday special had a tiny amount of alcohol in them. Mild salsa is very mild, spicy is very spicy. But charge extra to get a little of each on the side. Had the two enchiladas with steak and brisket. Quite good!
HORRIBLE!!!! Since when did fajitas not come with rice and beans?! Horribly slow service. Not worth the money at all! My husband and I both feel sick to our stomachs (literally not figuratively) after eating there. I would have rather have given it zero stars.
They have a gluten free menu, good number of choices. Salsa and chips are gluten free. They said they have dedicated fryers. Server was new. The order was specifically put in to be gluten free as the server who brought it out identified it as a gluten free meal.
