Menu says gluten free menu available upon request so i request it and they didn't have one. Very misleading.
The main menu isn’t marked GF but the takeout menu is. The takeout menu is a little misleading because it doesn’t say explicitly that the breakfast tacos are default flour, you have to ask for corn. Cold cider on tap, very traditional Tex mex. The guacamole could have more flavor (or even salt) and they have forgotten to go items several times but it’s in the neighborhood so we’ll keep going back.
*All tacos with corn tortillas are Gluten Free except the Carne Guisada and Crispy Chicken
They have a separate gluten free menu. Chili con queso is gluten free, chips are crispy.
The staff is not knowledgeable about Gluten Free. The regular menu states they have a GF menu; however, when I asked for the Gluten Free Menu, no one seemed to know about it? Our waitress had to ask the asst. manager for it. He came over to our table telling me they DON’T have any GF menus! I told him their information is “misleading” to the customers who have Celiac or are Gluten Sensitive. He looked at me like he didn’t know what I was talking about? I asked him if he knew what Celiac meant? He said, no. I told him we cannot eat any gluten (wheat, barley, or rye), or else we will end up in the ER (emergency room)!! I told him they should remove the wording from the regular menu stating you have a Gluten Free Menu.
I have celiac, every time I eat there I ALWAYS get sick. The food is good, and they claim to be gluten free. I keep giving them chances in hopes that they will get it right but so far no. It’s not that they don’t have gluten free food, it’s that they don’t clean their area and will cook flour tortillas on the same griddle as corn.cross contamination is the problem.
They no longer have a gluten free menu.
they aren't careful about cross contamination, you can trust the soups and the stuffed avocado. I don't recommend anything else
I have eaten here in the past with no problems but they no longer have a gluten-free menu and will refer you to your server for information. The knowledge level of servers varies dramatically. I ate there last weekend and got very sick. It will be my last visit.
They no longer have a gluten free menu. Supposedly changed suppliers and couldn't get a gf menu created.
There's nothing good I can say...poor service, we waited over an hour to be served and our food was cold. There is no gluten free menu. Since I have soy allergies the only thing I could eat were quesadillas, since they use the cheapest possible oil ...soybean. Out of all the different cheeses they serve they made my quesadillas with American cheese slices...which most contain soy.
They were, then they weren't, and now they are again. We have eaten there 2 times lately and we were OK both times, but for a while not to long ago they told us straight up they were no longer gf, I'm glad they went back to go options again. Food was good but the ground beef was not drained and the fat running on the plate was gross. 2nd time I asked them to drain the meat when I ordered and it was much better.
I was at the Kyle restaurant April 7, 2017. They no longer have a gluten-free menu. The manager said the head office was working on something but they have withdrawn the past GF menu. He strongly recommended I not eat there at all, if I was trying to avoid gluten food items. He said that their food suppliers were not able to supply reliable gluten information. The kitchen uses the same utensils and grill for all cooking so cross contamination was a big issue. He was not able to tell me why their web site still says they have a GF menu. After waiting 45 minutes to be seated, we left after being told there was no GF menu.
I ate here last year and the food was ok. Their gluten free menu is huge, but hard to find since it's not online; they sent us photos. I didn't have any issues and didn't get sick.
Just had an awful experience with Casa G's Pflugerville. if you are Celiac DO NOT consider going here to eat. They claim a gluten free menu but should not call it such, maybe more along the lines of the degrading "gluten free-ish" kerby lane menu. I ordered GF (corn) shrimp tacos and was reassured that they were gluten free repeatedly. I got home and saw that they were on wheat flour. Ridiculous. I called to complain and they told me they even use the same stovetop to cook wheat AND corn tortillas. Such a shame, they've definitely lost a customer. Please do not support this kind of business who claims something is gluten free when it is not. Celiacs, no way, skip this one.
no gluten free menus like it states here.
Went for dinner, from previous review, NO GLUTEN FREE MENU, as we were informed that all dishes cooked were cross contaminated from fryers etc. Very nice about it and we're up front right away. So I would go back if a real Gluten-free menu was available.
I usually get a breakfast plate. The potatoes are safe for me. The chips and corn tortillas are gluten-free also. Update: Have tried several other items on gf menu (flautas, pork chops, carne asada, chalupas), nothing has made me sick, and it is yummy! :)
The biggest gluten free menu I have seen in the past 6 months since Celiac diagnosis. The server was very knowledgeable about Gluten free items. Chips and salsa were gluten free. Had chicken fajita enchiladas with a tomatillo sauce and it was excellent. Everyone loved their meal! I would highly recommend!
Young & family friendly- on a weekend night, great table tortilla chips. light & crispy. Had the avocado with shredded chicken and loved it. Gave up on corn tortillas years ago but these changed my mind: they were that good!
don't usually find a good Mexican restaurant with a dedicated gluten free menu. highly recommend
