Based on the previous review and looking at the menu online, I figured this would be a great experience. Unfortunately, it was the opposite. Right after sitting down, I asked about the chips and the waiter gave a confused look and said they were NOT gluten free. Bummer, but ok - I asked for tortillas instead. He brought back tortillas that appeared to be flour tortillas and when I asked, he couldn't tell me if they were actually GF or not. Strike two. I then tried to order off the menu and was informed that I couldn't have what I ordered (even though it was designated gluten free). I was told only the meats were "probably ok" and that they could probably find me GF tortillas and I could just wrap them up myself. This was all after several trips back and forth to the kitchen and the manager supposedly figuring out a workaround (that's what the waiter told me). He said it was "weird" that I asked for gluten free since no one ever asks for it and it happens so rarely. This place is NOT what it claims to be. If the food is safe, the staff certainly aren't trained for it and I was told that basically everything is unsafe for those needing to avoid gluten. Extremely huge disappointment - don't waste your time with this place.
A very large portion of their menu is gluten-free. The items WITH gluten are marked and everything else is gluten-free. The chips are gluten-free as they are fried in a dedicated fryer (along with other non-gluten containing items). The food is excellent! High quality and delicious!! I had the brisket tacos and I can’t wait to go back!
Casa Milagro has wonderful, tasty authenic tex-mex dishes. They offer a very extensive gluten friendly menu. Tasty chips/fresh salsa and made fresh daily awesome guacamole. All gluten free. They use gluten free flour from Local Oven. They have a designated fryer and griddle just for gluten products. The owners and staff are aware of the importance of keeping areas/food separate that are gluten free. Contemporary décor and lovely patio and sometimes "Latin Jazz Music" during the spring/summer months. It's a must try and visit. Located in Richardson NE Corner of Plano Rd, Campbell Rd. "Local Oven" supplies their flour and delicious gluten-free brownie.
