Although there isn’t a separate GF menu and the menu isn’t marked, they were very accommodating and knowledgeable. They indicated that they can make nearly everything GF except for fried items. I was told their chips are fried first thing in the morning but they can’t guarantee them to be GF so they allow you to bring your own chips if you want. The waiter was excellent to work with and the food was outstanding. Great atmosphere and location.

Great dinner at this cute restaurant! I had the shrimp enchiladas from the “gluten sensitive” menu. My server was very knowledgeable. When I asked her to let the kitchen know I have a “gluten allergy,” she responded that she would mark “celiac” on the order. When the food arrived, they voluntarily told me it was gluten free. Food was delicious and my non-GF friends very much enjoyed their dinners, as well.

The menu doesn’t say GF but like most Mexican restaurants, you can find plenty of things corn based. I have a wheat allergy and had no issues. I ordered chips and salsa (delicious!) and the chicken enchiladas. I didn’t have any trouble with my allergy, all was made the corn, and the food was great! Our waitress was super sweet and easy to ask questions of.

I was looking forward to the shrimp enchiladas and they did not disappoint. They do have a separate gf menu. Shared fryer, so chips are out. We went went it was insanely busy, so the food took a really long time, but it was very good. We would love to go back when it isn't so crazy mobbed! 😜 Mine came with white rice and black beans. It was yummy!

Great location across from the Castillo and the Bridge of Lions in historic St Augustine, with optional rooftop patio dining. Server was very helpful (I also must avoid dairy and soy) including the caution of a lack of dedicated fryer. No reservations taken, but call-ahead seating is accepted.

I got glutened. :/ I Ordered off the GF menu and talked to the server about how I had Celiac, and she said she understood. The meal came out, and I took one bite and immediately knew. She took back my food and admitted that she just thought all the food on the menus was GF, and she didn’t realize that she needed to tell the kitchen about any allergies or modifications.
I was so excited for this place, so it was really disappointing. Manager did apologize profusely.

Wait times were insane, but the food was great and celiac safe. Tortilla are not GF and are fried in CC fryer.

Casa Reina has a separate gluten sensitive menu and it has lots of items to choose from. I actually had a really hard time deciding what I wanted! I ended up getting the chips and salsa which were so good! And I got the grilled chicken salad. This salad had a flare all of its own! The honey chipotle vinaigrette dressing was delicious. (I am not celiac but I am extremely gluten sensitive.) The waitress was very knowledgeable and provided me with a gluten sensitive menu as well as made a few recommendations. (Not food related but we ate on the roof and it was beautiful!!)

Just had a delicious dinner at Casa Reina Taqueria • Tequila in Saint Augustine!
I messaged the restaurant and asked if they had a separate GF menu and they replied that they DID, but also warned that their kitchen wasn’t completely GF. I thanked them for knowing the difference!
Dinner was great, the waitress was great and substitutions were easily made. She warned me about possible fryer cross-contamination with the nachos (I took the chance… there weren’t a lot of fried items on the menu, so I took the chance…. So far, so good!)
Would definitely recommend!

I really enjoyed my food. I had the honey lime shrimp fajita bowl. The chips are NOT gluten free, they are in a shared fryer. Check with your server on the menu, it’s gluten sensitive not gluten free so you need to make sure they make every precaution! They made sure my shrimp was cooked in a pan rather than on the grill.

Overall great experience. Had a gluten sensitive menu due to potential cross contamination but there was lots of great options. Our waiter didn't say much when we asked for our things gluten free but when our main course got to the table he assured us it was (I could also taste that the shells were corn) Very good just don't get to filled up on chips and queso!

I had carnitas, refried beans and rice. The waitress didn’t fill me with confidence but I don’t think that had anything to do with the restaurant. It may have even been a me issue, so far I have been ok so I think it was safe. I felt more safe than other restaurants. I also got the flan which is basically just crustless cheesecake, I don’t believe it’s like a real flan. But I do like cheesecake. It’s huge so get it to share.

I’m a st augustine local and was so excited to find this place. They have a “gluten sensitive” menu so not everything on the menu is free of cross contamination. I was told by my knowledgeable waitress and hostess to avoid anything fried due to a shared fryer.
They cooked my food in a separate pan and it was phenomenal. We will now be regulars here.

Delicious delicious delicious!! Authentic tacos and great drinks!! Atmosphere is fantastic also!! Server was super knowledgeable about the GF menu and was making great suggestions for drinks and menu choices. They don’t have a dedicated fryer, only thing I didn’t like but still plenty of food to choose from for a celiac.

Food was great! I even had some of the chips, which our waiter warned could have traces of gluten, but had no adverse reaction. Our waiter was also gluten free so that was nice to have his input!

I will preface that I am not a celiac, but am gluten intolerant. I have been coming here almost weekly for a year and never had an issue. I have had the chips and salsa and a number of plates here and always had a great experience. Today, I actually found out they DO have a gluten sensitive menu! 🙌🏼

I sat down to order and asked about gluten free meal options. I was ready to order the chips and salsa when the waitress stopped me and asked if I had celiac disease. I told her I did, and she warned me that the chips were made in a shared fryer and therefore were not celiac safe. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and careful when it comes to cross contamination. They can provide knowledge about which options are safe for customers with Celiac disease. The food is delicious and the view from the terrace is incredibe. The inside of the resturant is also beautifully decorated. Great and safe food with a top notch atmosphere!
