The wait staff was friendly and VERY accommodating. They were familiar with celiac & my other complicated food allergies and worked with me to review my options, go over things and the chef was able to create a SPECTACULAR Cuban bowl for me that avoided those pesky food allergies beyond celiac. Definitely celiac knowledge and have great GF options - the risotto was also amazing- I got to taste my spouse’s! Definitely worth the visit! Lovely to sit outside in the beautiful courtyard and eat DELICIOUS food.
Happy hour from open-6pm ($2 off drinks) Celiac friendly but they do not have a dedicated fryer. Knowing that I ordered shrimp and grits which actually comes with two grits “cakes” and blackened/seasoned shrimp. It was good but spicier than I can handle. I should’ve ordered a shrimp roll in lettuce (next time).
Ate here while visiting family. Staff was helpful & shared they did not have a dedicated fryer so I started care of anything fried. Had the salmon tartare (just no chips) for appetizer & catch of the day (flounder) with the grit cakes which were all delicious! Haven’t had any issue so I’d say it’s safe for celiac.
Ordered a supposedly gluten free dinner and found a long piece of wheat pasta buried in the rice! NOT A GOOD THING! No offer of replacement or discount. Waitress did not even know what gluten issues were and why it was important to me not to have it. Thankfully I am only intolerant, not celiac
