There are no gluten free buns here anymore. They had a burgers that could theoretically be eaten without a bun but the staff seemed very confused about gluten free. They did have a Rice Krispie treat pre-wrapped gluten free bar that I was comfortable feeding my wheat allergy child. They did have a chicken salad and a Caesar salad that might be able to be made gluten free but I didn’t ask since my child wouldn’t eat it.

Something certainly seems to have changed since the previous reviews (2019). When asked if they can do anything gluten free, they said no. I then asked about just a hamburger patty without a bun, and they said they could do that. They were out of bison burgers, chicken tenders (not gf anyway) and fresh fruit. The only side was fries and they use a shared fryer. We just had burger patties on a bed of lettuce. They don't even have the option to add a second patty, so I literally ordered 2 burger "meals" To get 2 subpar patties with cheese on them - $11 each. The ladies were super friendly and helpful, but options are just not there - even for those who are not gf. If you're staying the night in the Badlands national park, it will do in a pinch; otherwise, head to town and find something real.

We went here today for lunch and had an amazing experience. Connor was our waitress and our party was 16 (9 were children) and he did such a good job. My sister and I both have Celiac’s and neither of us had issues. I had the turkey BLT without any bread and it was plenty! My sister ordered the patty melt and had a side salad. My 9 year old said it was the best burger ever!

I ordered a patty melt with my choice of meat. It was served on gf bread. Everyone had nice handmade hot meals made with fresh South Dakota ingredients.

Not many options, but considering it is in the middle of nowhere it was a treat! I had a hamburger on gluten free bun.
