I overstayed in Calafate by 5 days, and this bakery is part of the reason. This bakery is dedicated gluten free and they have amazing baked goods. My favorite was the manzana torta (apple pie), however the fresh bread kept me coming back ($45/loaf). The only down side is they don’t offer it every day (it maintains for 2 days). The Alfajores are delicious and the best price in town (4 @$160) costing $90 each in Elba’r. It’s a bit out of the town, but definitely worth the walk. Enjoy!
Great little place that sells loaf of bread, quiches, brownie, biscuits and cake.
They also use their products in the nearby cafe/restaurants.
When I visited the bakery there weren't many options, but everything I bought was good. They had bread and buns, pies, quiches and a cake. Don't give up when looking for it - the bakery is a bit deeper in to the street than it is marked on the map. It looks like a completely residential area, but the bakery is at the end of the street to the right.
The owner is celiac, and everything is prepared in specialized facilities for celiac food. This is not a restaurant, but a factory that provides to hotels and restaurants different kind of products such as bread, muffins, pies, etc. Good option if you want to buy some products to make its own lunchbox to bring to the tours near the town. Quality was very acceptable. Good white bread and ham&cheese pies.
A dedicated GF bakery that will sell you some bread and treats and will also show you a list of the businesses in El Calafate that offer her gluten free products as sandwiches, pizzas etc. Very helpful!
