Loved, loved, LOVED it!!!! Can't say enough about it. GF items marked very clearly. Staff was very thorough, and didn't seemed annoyed by questions in the slightest (I hate that I have to ask about GF, but what are you gonna do?). The Lamb Ribs were PHE-NOM-E-NAL!!!! They just melted when I bit into them. They had a little sweetness to them, then a little aftertaste kick. Sooooooooo good. I think I got fish for my main meal...I can't remember because the ribs were so good. It's pricey (two of us w/ an appetizer and one alcoholic drink each, plus a good tip = ~$180...I think), but totally worth it if you can swing it.
I was very excited to visit this restaurant as it has a gluten-free menu. When I made reservations they asked if I had allergies and told them I had celiac disease. I was given the gluten free menu and told the waitress of my allergies and ordered the beet salad and sirloin. The beet salad was delicious but when the steak arrived it was covered in fried onions. I told the staff about it and they took it away and came back in about 5 minutes with what turned out to be the same steak I had originally. They had attempted to remove the onions which I found out later they had been unsuccessful. In about 15 minutes I could tell I was beginning to have a reaction to the gluten. I was told I could have a free dessert but I didn’t feel like eating anything else at this point. They took my steak away having eaten about a third of the steak which had also been tough. They gave me the steak for free but still charged me for the salad and tea. Needless to say, I would not recommend this place. Obviously you can not attempt to just remove the gluten and it now becomes gluten-free. I also feel they should have given me the salad and tea for free as I was sick later. They must have thought they could get away with hiding their mistake and it’s obvious they need to be better educated if they are going to have a gluten-free menu.
They change their menu seasonally. I had an option of an oyster appetizer and two salads. I got the salmon for my main course but I had a choice of 4 items. I also had the creme brûlée. Over all I had a wonderful experience and did not get sick! I do recommend making a reservation and saying Celiac and they have everything ready when you walk in the door.
Delish from top to bottom. Had no problem finding a gf options.
