My server was educated on celiac and made sure all my food was gluten free. she advised me the fries were fried in the same fryer as gluten containing foods. she let me substitute a side salad. It was really good. I got the sweet corn tamale cakes, the impossible burger w/ gluten free bun, and the gf chocolate cheesecake. Overall 10/10. I would say i saw other reviews saying they got sick from the pasta, typically in restaurants they dunk the pasta in hot water before mixing it with the sauce, maybe that’s why people were getting sick, because it was in the same water as regular pasta. Or it could have been made in a pan that had regular pasta in it before. - just as a heads up if you order gf pasta at restaurants. :)
if there was a way to give 0 stars i would. I was so happy to see cauliflower crusts for flatbread and gf buns for burgers and gf pasta. I love pasta so I made it clear to the waiter it has to be gf and everything and she was reassuring me that the fusilli pasta is gluten free along with the sauce for the pasta. When my plate arrived i mixed the sauce in, and found a shell noodle. My waiter told me earlier that the gf noodles are only fusilli so seeing the shell noodle was disturbing. I called the waiter over and complained and told her that she cannot just remove the noodle because then the whole dish is cross contaminated and i can’t eat it. The manager came over and apologized and blamed it on being understaffed and busy; which should not be a reason to (this may sound extreme) but risk someone’s health or life like for all they know i could die after eating gluten. Anyways, I am disgusted and put me in a terrible mood for the rest of the night
The Cheesecake Factory has an extensive gluten free menu. Gluten free options include pasta, burgers (with buns), and cheesecake for dessert.
Just ate here yesterday and no reaction. I got some pasta but requested it be made GF. On the menu, there will be “GF if requested” next to select items which can be made GF. Apparently, they have a policy where the gluten free items are made in a separate space in the kitchen with separate pans and utensils, which was reassuring. We called before coming in and then informed the waitress I had a severe gluten allergy to which she understood what to do.
Just a few gluten free items on the menu but they were labeled as can be prepared gluten free. I ordered the salmon with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The waitress brought out a plate without the broccoli and when I questioned it she said the broccoli wasn’t gluten free! Since when isn’t broccoli gluten free? The salmon was barely seasoned with anything and tasted so blah. This is the case with a lot of restaurants who have no clue what gluten or gluten free means. When I was almost done with my meal our waitress brought out a dish of plain broccoli. She said it was minus the topping, which she didn’t explain, but once again it was plain with no butter, oil, salt or pepper! Blah once again! Disappointing.
Absolutely stomach blowing!
The staff not only uses separate equipment to prevent cross contamination, they change their very clothes! I was so pleased and surprised to say the least.
Also, so much of the menu is gf! I got the mashed potato omelette with fries and home fries, so delicious.
The portion sizes are enormous too, I got two full delicious meals out one!!!
Highly recommend, a bit pricy but absolutely worth it.
