The Cheesecake Factory has an extensive gluten free menu. Gluten free options include pasta, burgers (with buns), and cheesecake for dessert.
Waiter seemed kind of knowledge about gluten free options on the menu. (GF options are labeled on the regular menu) He knew the GF pasta was cooked in separate water than the non-GF pasta, and that the hamburgers were cooked on a grill that only cooked GF food. I ended up ordering a turkey burger with a GF bun and a side of salad. I did not get the side of fries because waiter was “pretty sure” the frier was GF. When I received my burger, I was disappointed to see that all the toppings except lettuce and tomato had been removed because the toppings (like mushrooms in a garlic sauce) weren’t GF. I wasn’t told that before I ordered (I also didn’t ask, I’m learning to be more specific with my questions)
I didn’t get sick from eating there, always a plus 👌
Gluten free items are clearly marked on this chain's menu. I ordered the lunch sized salmon which was standard fare. My lunch came out after my non-gluten free family's. The waitress said that they had originally made my plate with broccoli (which is cooked in pasta water). They substituted for sauteed green beans.
I have eaten here several times. The menu is clearly marked with what is gluten free. I usually get the shepherds pie. They also have 2 gluten free cheesecake options that are delicious. If you have an issue with cross contamination it may not be the best option but I have a wheat allergy and have never gotten sick from them.
Had an amazing server (Steph) who took my concerns seriously and talked to the kitchen to verify cooking oils. Menu clearly states what can and can’t be made gluten free - I’ll update this if I have a delayed reaction but so far it’s amazing - the unsafe food in the picture is my friends meal the salad and fries are mine
For a restaurant with extensive GF options, I expected much more. The server was not at all knowledgeable about GF, but was so kind and asked a lot of questions, I asked to talk to the manager who told me their are supposed to have dedicated fryers but he know that the chefs “throw anything in any fryer” and he was really kind about it and I appreciate the honestly. They ran out of GF pasta. Wound up with a burger and fruit, and didn’t get sick and appreciated the manager double checking everything.
I was nervous to come here because of the previous reviews, but I had a great experience! They have a dedicated GF fryer and explained that they change gloves and make GF items on cleaned surfaces. There was one GF appetizer option, the corn tamales, which were pretty good! Got a burger and fries as my meal, and the Godiva Cheesecake for dessert. Most importantly, I did not get sick!
Beware of cross contamination! Even there are a lot of gluten free options in the menu, we asked about gluten free pasta and they boil it in the same water than regular pasta. We asked if they could boil it in new water and they refused. Make sure to ask how your food choice is cooked before ordering!
