Full disclosure: I had never eaten at a Cheesecake Factory before finding out I have celiac. This could fill a ten if you loved it before hand.
I knew there would likely be rampant cross contamination. The waiter also couldn’t answer any questions about gf protocols. My food did come out marked as gf which was something. However, it made me sick (not horrific- just cross contamination sick which for me means severe intestinal pain, hives, and that allergy feeling that makes you feel like you’ve been hit by a truck).
If you have celiac and have a choice- go to one of the other 500 restaurants around here. If your 7-year-old niece is giving you sad eyes because she wants to go here and it’s her special day in Chicago getting an American Girl doll and seeing her aunt, brace yourself for getting sick.

The Cheesecake Factory has an extensive gluten free menu. Gluten free options include pasta, burgers (with buns), and cheesecake for dessert.
Few options available on menu, celiac son could choose from gluten free pasta, grilled chicken or grilled salmon from children's menu. Be sure to tell them you are a celiac, the waiter advised against the fries as they are cooked in the same fryer as gluten items. I did not ask about the pasta. My son had the chicken, I had the sweet corn tamale cakes and neither of us had issues later but overall we did not enjoy the meal.

Great late night spot. We went after visiting John Hancock center for Chicago night views. Outdoor seating area is nice at the base. BEST PART for service kudos. Server told us that the fryer was shared with non-gf, so we were going to bypass the fries. But the server then came back and let us know that since it was near closing time, they may have cleaned the fryers already, and could do clean oil to make us fries . We said Yes. This is a restaurant that empowers its folks to do good things. The fries were awesome.
Fabulous gluten free options. Gorgeous burger with sweet potato fries, shrimp pasta and they even altered the fettuccine alfredo sauce for us. Amazing food, service, and yes the Godiva cheesecake is to die for. 3 celiacs did not get sick.

Godiva Chocolate GF cheesecake was out of this world! Been forever since I've enjoyed good tasting cheesecake. I was told it was the only GF cheesecake option. We did not purchase a meal, just cheesecake!
Knowledgable wait staff and lots of food choices. You can even have a piece of cheesecake (and it's chocolate)!

Was not bad but experience varies by server. We came twice as staying nearby... only on the 2nd visit did our server correct the misinformation from the first server.
There is NO dedicated fryer... it is shared oil. A lot of the staff are unclear of the difference

Tried to order a gluten free four cheese pasta for my Celiac daughter. When asked if they cook the pasta in separate water and use separate utensils, they said unfortunately they cook it in the same water as gluten pasta and they can’t use separate water. :(
