Not safe for gluten intolerance or celiac! Twice, on two separate occasions, we’ve ordered the kids alfredo with gf noodles for our highly intolerant daughter—she gets quite ill if she consumes gluten. The first time, which was several years ago, we received gluten free pasta but found regular pasta mixed in. Today, the same thing happened and the server admitted that the same cooking water for the traditional pasta had been used to cook the gf pasta. The kitchen staff has clearly not been trained or educated properly in regards to food allergies.
The Cheesecake Factory has an extensive gluten free menu. Gluten free options include pasta, burgers (with buns), and cheesecake for dessert.
We didn’t try anything GF. But dis ask the server for future reference if the GF menu was cooled on a separate line. She said no and that they all use the same fryer. So they do have a lot of GF options, but if cross contamination os an issue, it would be a no go.
The staff there was really friendly and understood the limited options. They has almost every main food item on the menu with a gluten free option. The cheesecake was delicious!
Went there last night after seeing a movie. Initially I was turned off by the lack of desirable GF options. Had to repeatedly change order plans due to dishes that were surprisingly using gluten, or risk of allergic exposure to other to other ingredients. Says fries can be GF, but cooked in same fryer for cross contamination. Refused to allow me to open my own Angry Orchard bottle ordered to avoid cross contamination from beer covered hands in bar. I was about ready to leave in frustration. But the waitress was patient and accommodating so went back several times to get answers from kitchen before she sat down with me to discuss options. Had a burger earlier in the week, so it didn't sound good, but ended up getting one with mashed potatoes. The burger was great and the bun was excellent! Once I was almost done, I asked the waitress what brand it was. When she said Udi's, I said then we have a problem because you gave me the wrong bun. I explained that Udi's are small, flat, undesirable to look at, don't have a very good texture, and that it's sad they are so commonly used. So what I ate was clearly not Udi's. Waitress brought out a manager named Alicia, whose daughter is Celiac, and she explained multiple steps to avoid gluten, and an area to prepare most GF items. She went back and brought me out a prepackaged GF bun. Apparently Cheesecake Factory purchases a restaurant grade GF buns in bulk from Udi's. Wonder why Udi's has such huge variance between this and what I've gotten at stores or is served in so many other restaurants. Ordered the GF Godiva chocolate cheesecake to go and it is absolutely amazing!
This is my daughter’s favorite place . Their gluten free four cheese pasta and Godiva cheesecake is super yummy!!!!
Had a great waiter who knew about providing a safe GF meal. I had pasta and did not get sick. They say they offer GF cheesecake but it’s in the same display cabinet as all other cheesecakes. I watched them use the same serving utensil on the GF cheesecake as other cheesecakes. (Bad!)
Everything was good but my pasta had a regular noodle in it and it honestly was not worth the $20. I would only go for dessert and appetizers.
My fiancée loved their gluten free menu options and greatly enjoyed the pasta she got. We didn’t catch our waitress’ name, but she told us she also suffers from gluten intolerance, so we felt like we were in safe hands. My fiancée forgot to ask for no croutons on her salad, but our waitress made sure there were none on there anyway. Absolutely fantastic experience
I’ve eaten here twice in the last year and haven’t gotten sick. I get a salad and fries — Yep, they have a dedicated gf fryer for fries. I can’t speak to the pasta or the burgers but they do have those options. I will say the gf chocolate cheesecake is BOMB! Overall, this is a chain and there’s way better options in the area, but if you’re dead-set on the Cheesecake Factory experience, it’s fine. Just be sure to verify with your server and self-advocate. And prepare yourself emotionally for the tantalizing bread smells, because you can’t eat it and that’s depressing.
Food tasted great but took forever. I ordered the four-cheese pasta with chicken right away, and the only thing that should have taken extra time was making the pasta GF - but it was at least a 30 minute wait. The kitchen also forgot to put chicken on the pasta, which was an extra 5 minutes. The waiter was good, the food was good, but the kitchen’s speed was not. Waiter checked to make sure a smoothie was gf for us before we ordered and confirmed we needed gluten free food. Look for the corkscrew pasta to be sure it’s GF.
