I eat here pretty often and haven't gotten sick so far. I just make sure to tell them I have a gluten allergy (some aren't sure what celiac means), and they put an allergy marker on my order. They change gloves and keep things separate. Their fries are cooked in a dedicated drier. The grilled chicken sandwiches and grilled chicken nuggets are safe as well. They recently came out with a gf bun that stays in the package to prevent cross contamination. It's not the best one I've ever had, but it's decent when I'm in the mood for a sandwich. I do wish they would come out with better gf breakfast options, though.
Chick-fil-A offers gluten free grilled chicken nuggets and many locations have dedicated fryers for fries. Check with your location if cross-contamination is a concern for you.
This is my go-to fast food place. They have a dedicated frier for their fries. I get the grilled chicken sandwich with a gluten free, pre-packaged bun. If you ask they will change gloves for your order as well.
I had the grilled nuggets, fries, and lemonade and did not have any symptoms afterwards. I told them I had an allergy to gluten and asked them to change their gloves and they made sure the people preparing the food got the message. It was my first time having the grilled nuggets and they were amazing!! I dipped them in chick fil a sauce 🤗
Always get the waffle fries and chocolate shake! Almost all sauces are GF and they have gluten free buns but there is still risk of cross contamination. I’m not a very sensitive celiac and have always been fine after eating here.
They do well with gluten allergies, I have dairy allergies too. You can tell them you allergies and they put in allergy alert. Just ask them to switch gloves and use caution with your order. Always look at there updated list to stay on top of your allergies.
The manager and staff all were very patient and helpful with checking ingredients for me, and preparing a safe gluten free meal. I had the southwest salad, with the avocado dressing and a side of fries. They have a designated fryer for the fries!
Very good customer service, I explained to them the importance of Ensuring proper care of their gluten free French fries. She went back and spoke to the kitchen personally to make sure they understood the fries needed to be from a fresh batch and with new gloves and the 1st serving. They had a basic understanding of gluten free and were really great about asking questions to make sure that my food specifically was safe. Updated after an hour.....I felt mildly glutened. Moral of this story, good for gluten sensitivity not if your celiac.
I had the waffle fries and the chicken sandwich the bun was really good. The person taking my order was very knowledgeable about cross contamination and celiac. Update 11/23/19: We go here about twice a month and the people are great and always reassure us that our food will be gluten free.
I actually work at this location so I know a lot about their procedures. They have a dedicated fryer and gluten free buns. I would not recommend ordering milkshakes as the spinner is not thoroughly cleaned after the Cookies and cream shake. Overall several of the back and front of house staff (myself included) are knowledgeable on Gluten free procedures.
The manager was very confused about what the definition of gluten free is. They were very busy so she totally blew me off, like if being gluten free was from another planet, I will never eat in this Springfield location again, Very disappointed. If I could give it 0 stars I would!
Never had a problem. The fries are cooked in a dedicated fryer, and the grilled nuggets are safe.
I just ate at this location and I was very pleased with my experience. I didn’t have to explain that I had celiac disease or what it was. She knew what it was and what they had to do to ensure I don’t get sick!
The staff is knowledgeable about our disease. The manager is so friendly and we’ve never had an issue. They ran out of the gf buns and felt so bad they gave us ice cream on the house! Can’t say enough good about this restaurant and the employees!
The manager and cashier seemed knowledgeable, noting in the order to change gloves, and explained how fries were cooked separate from other things. When not sure about other items, the cashier either looked them up or printed a ingredients list for us to look at. The only options for the entree was the grilled chicken nuggets. They didn't offer a gf bun.
Most restaurants in this chain are very good, but this location was terrible. First off the person taking the order, had no clue about gluten free, even though it was on the menu board. My wife and I both ordered gluten free #5’s which is a grilled chicken filet, which comes with a separate gf bun normally, and fries and a drink. Because this was our first time at this location, We asked if the fries were done in a separate fryer. The cashier did not know the answer, but checked with someone and assured us that their fries were cooked in a designated fryer. After we got that cleared up, we took our seats, and waited for the food. The delivery person brought the food and it wasn’t even gluten free, it was the normal meal. He apologized and went back to the kitchen. A few minutes later, the same girl that took our order, brought out the gf meals. I said to her, after all the talk about making sure you did not cross contaminate food here, you didn’t even mark the order gf. She said oh, I’m sorry. I should have talked to the manager, but I was in a hurry to make an appointment, so I did nothing. We will not be going back.
Unknowledgeable staff. Asked if the fries were gluten free and cooked in separate fryer. Could not answer and went to ask someone else. Told her had serious allergy. Claimed they were fine. Ordered gluten free grilled chicken breast and fries. Received chicken breast on regular roll. Told delivery person this was wrong. They brought correct order, but not convinced that they didn’t just take chicken off gluten roll and put in container and brought back with gluten free roll. Won’t trust them again!
The CFA at this airport does not have grilled nuggets, which my celiac traveling companion was counting on. Additionally, the staff was rude and less than helpful so we do not have a lot of confidence in the safety of the fries that she ordered (the only thing she could).
