I did get sick here once eating the grilled nuggets and waffle fries. If course I can't know for sure but I suspect it was the fries being cross contaminated in the fryer. I was going on the assumption that all chick-Gil-a's have dedicated driers for their fries. And maybe they do. But the fryer is only as dedicated aesthetic employed who use them.
Can't go wrong with grilled nuggets and fries! My go-to fast food.
I eat here on occasion and enjoy both sandwiches or salads. Their fries are made separate from other foods and safe to eat and the grilled chicken is not cooked near other fried foods. The gluten free bun is actually not terrible for sandwiches. I eat the market salad a lot without the toppings and most of their sauces and salad dressings are gluten free too! Staff said they would tell kitchen to change gloves when preparing my food as well.
I’ve eaten here dozens of times (with celiac). The fries are safe... gluten free waffle fries? That alone is worth five stars ;)
The staff changes their gloves, I always feel comfortable eating here! Never an issue with cross contamination, if you want fast food that taste good this is the place to go
Kid who took my order had never done a gluten free order. Since I frequent chik fila wherever I go I know how their system works and told him to put in a flag for gluten and write “celiac-change gloves” As soon as the order showed up on the order screen in the back I heard someone announce it. Overall good experience. Never hurts to educate.
I come here all the time. I always get the grilled nuggets and waffle fries. Most sauces are gluten free. All ingredients are easy to see on their packages. If you say "for allergy" they take the precautions to avoid contamination. Never got sick!
Chick-Fil-A is one of the only fast food restaurants where my daughter can eat the most variety. They have a dedicated fryer for their fries, and even sell gluten-free buns (for a small uncharge). The staff sometimes is not knowledgeable about celiac, when I have additional questions about the menu, but most of the time they are helpful and go out of their way to accommodate us.
All sandwiches come with an option of a gluten free bun. Their grilled chicken nugget meal is a gluten free option also, Fries are cooked in a separate fryer with canola oil. All sauces are also gluten free from what I’ve read. They don’t have a gluten free kitchen, so cross contamination of course can always occur. But for something quick if you’re in a rush- 👍🏽
I didn’t eat my food because I didn’t trust it based on what I got. I ordered a market salad without dressing and without blue cheese, which is what I order at every Chick-fil-A. I didn’t get what I normally get. They brought a salad with grilled nuggets instead of the chicken it comes with. They are gluten free according to their menu, but they are not what comes on the market salad, and they bother my other allergies, and are gross. I sent it back and said I couldn’t eat it, and they broke the very same nuggets up and put them on the very same salad and brought it back. I asked for a refund and got it. Obviously they don’t take it seriously.
there is nothing at his location. they don't have gluten free buns.
We explained to the cashier my daughter has celiac disease. The manager was next to her and got involved with her order. I asked for the person prepping the food to change gloves and make the gluten free meal first. The manager was condescending and made it sound as if this was a monumental task and could not guarantee it could be done properly. My daughter had the grilled nuggets (which aren't very good) and fries and felt sick while eating the meal. The manager wouldn't guarantee a safe meal (and delivered on that promise) so I'd say if you have celiac disease to stay away from this chick-fil-a. I don't think they all are like this as I've heard positive experiences from other chick-fil-a restaurants but this one is a no go for our family from now on.
Never gotten sick and the staff is always so friendly. I love the new gluten free bun on the grilled chicken club sandwich glad their is at least one fast food place I can always get gluten free fries. They fry the breaded stuff in peanut oil and the fries are fried in Canola oil so no chance of cross contamination.
