Had a really lovely meal here with my friend last week.
The restaurant itself is very small, and as a result we felt a little bit crammed in in between the other tables. It’s also quite loud in there so it can be hard to have a conversation. However, the food was delicious. The nachos are GF, as are the tortillas used to make the tacos (be careful though, not all of the taco fillings are gluten free). The allergen chart is printed on the back of the menu, so I could easily see what I could and couldn’t have, and the staff took me seriously when I said I couldn’t eat gluten, and made a note against my order to let the kitchen know to be extra careful when prepping my food. I’m not sure if there is a dedicated GF prep section of the kitchen, or if Chido can guarantee no cross contamination, so if you are celiac then I would advise exercising caution.
We shared the nachos to start, and I had the Mother Choriza Tacos, which were delicious, and I felt safe ordering and eating here. One thing I will say is they use a lot of coriander on their dishes. I know that this is quite a controversial herb and not to everyone’s taste, so if you don’t like it then it might be worth asking for your food without it.
Overall a delicious gluten free meal!
