I used to love this place before ciliacs - when I called last week they did not know what gluten was so I’m not sure why it’s on find me GF ?
I explained the situation about celiac disease to my waiter. He understood quickly; he did the thing where he started telling me what I couldn't have. That's when I know they're paying attention. I described what I would like. I asked if the chef could make me something like that, and with a white sauce (no soy sauce). Can I have corn starch, he asked. Yes, I explained that I could have that. It wasn't highly seasoned, but the vegetables were wonderfully fresh and not overcooked and the tofu was great. They brought me my own little safe bowl of chili oil, and between that and my little bottle of safe soy sauce, I really enjoyed my meal. I'll definitely go back. You do have to explain your diet to them, but once you do they try very hard to make it safe.
