Have had a series of not so great experiences at chipotle recently, and this was one of the worst. When I said I had an allergy to gluten (I use the term allergy since restaurants tend to be more familiar to dealing with allergies than what celiac js), the employee said “I don’t even know what here has gluten in it to be honest”. Honestly I should’ve just walked out after that. Cross contamination in a lot of the bins. Got sick after. Pretty disappointed in chipotle, I always considered it a safe bet until recently.

As soon as I mentioned the word “allergy”, the server threw away the bowl she had touched, took off her gloves, washed and sanitized her hands, and put on fresh gloves. She asked what I wanted in the bowl, and I asked if she had fresh containers she could pull from, and she immediately said, “Oh yes!! I’ll get yours from the back, not from here. I just need to know what you want.” She did everything to prepare my bowl and didn’t let anyone else touch it. Excellent service!! Added later… I’ve now been to both this Chipotle and the one in Morrisville Park West, and I’ve had better experiences with the Wrenn Drive location in their understanding and kindly accommodating our Celiac needs. I feel like the staff must be better trained at this location.

Sensitive celiac never had a problem with any chipotle. This one gives generous portions too.

Chipotle does not have a gluten free menu but instead has a list of gluten-containing ingredients to avoid. Cross-contamination is a concern, however, so let the person taking your order know that you are gluten free and if you need them to take the proper precautions.
From their website: "If you avoid gluten, don't eat our flour tortillas. If you are highly sensitive to gluten and would like us to change our gloves, just let us know at the start of your order. You should be aware items containing corn, including corn tortillas (chips, soft corn, and crispy corn tortillas) and corn salsa, may have a small amount of gluten from potentially co-mingling with gluten-containing grains in the field."
A go-to place for me.

Everything except flour tortillas is GF. They are good about changing gloves if you ask.

Delicious Gluten free Mexican food. The guacamole is divine!
knowledgeable staff, helpful and friendly, good vegetarian options
Very knowledgable! All items are gf except flour tortillas. Good precautions to prevent cross contamination. We love the steak tacos (hard corn shells).
Best GF fast food experience so far. They didn’t make me feel weird or like I took too much time. I told them I have a gluten allergy and the line stopped. They changed spoons for what I ordered, wiped down the counter, got out fresh cheese and lettuce, changed gloves, and one person took charge of my order seeing it through to the end of the line. I know there’s still a risk, but I’m thankful for all they did to help me eat with my family.

I was a little concerned when I read it had been two years since the last review, but I went and as soon as I told the server I had celiac, she immediately offered to wipe down the surfaces and change gloves. She did it so cheerfully also!

Lots of gluten free options, good choice for catering, and ability to sort through gluten free options by using their dietary filter online. There are good options available if you're dairy free/vegan as well!

While there’s obviously a chance of cross contamination, the workers here are very nice and accommodating. Everything except for the tortillas is gluten free. I always ask them to change their gloves and this past time a worker felt her glove touch the tortillas after changing them so she immediately changed them again! They never have a problem getting lettuce or cheese from the back which I appreciate! I have not had a reaction here yet and I am very sensitive!

I told the server I was gluten sensitive, and she immediately changed gloves and handled all my food herself.
