They had gluten free pasta but no gluten free bread or other Italian grains. I ended up ordering the steak, which was half fat and completely tasteless. The veggies served were also hard and cold. So, don't bother with this place unless you enjoy paying a lot of $ for a less than average meal.
No gluten free menu but the waiters were knowledgeable about the gluten free options. Good chicken and salads. When our entrees came and I wanted a bite of my mothers meal we asked if it was GF. The waitress replied "let me check the lust in back and get back to you!" Great response and I felt safe!
My rating is a generous average: Five stars for having GF pasta and knowledgeable staff. One star removed for food that should taste more of its ingredients. One more big star deleted for bill shock -- GF pasta was a $3.50 charge, and the tally included a 4.5% up charge "to help fund healthcare, min. wage, and other San Francisco mandated employment costs." Oh, really? Put it on the menu! With that add on, Scoma's would have been the better deal.
